In 1984, during the Salyut 7 mission, Russian cosmonauts reported seeing massive, angel-like beings outside their spacecraft on two separate occasions. All cosmonauts present witnessed these mysterious figures, which were described as having wings and halos.
None of the cosmonauts, to this day, have redacted or altered their account of what they saw. This remains one of the most intriguing space mysteries.
The Sightings: On the 155th day of their mission, Leonid Kizim, Vladimir Solovyov, and Oleg Atkov allegedly saw a bright orange light, followed by seven large, smiling figures resembling angels.
Reoccurrence: The phenomenon reportedly returned 12 days later, witnessed again by the initial crew plus Svetlana Savitskaya, Igor Volk, and Vladimir Dzhanibekov.

They wouldn't report these incidents for obvious fear, punishment, retaliation.
Some believe it was mass hypnosis.
When they say large, they mean the beings wings were the size of wings of a 737.

The transmission delay, originally developed by GE, was to provide mission control the ability to keep the astronauts from letting the world know what they were seeing. Of course, there was an auto delay due to distance but the transmission still needed to be delayed from the fellas on the floor.
