I have a buddy who works in the local Food Stamp office

People are threatening and cursing him out on the reg. 
There was some rule that in order to receive your Feb stamps, you had to have your paperwork in by last Tuesday. And of course a bunch of these folks didn’t make the time to get their paperwork in.
He said things will start getting dangerous for the folks in his office if the shutdown doesn’t end soon. But he’s MAGA, so he’s good with the shutdown to get the wall.
And on the wall...he says he has dozens of illegals per week in his office trying to get stamps for themselves and kids. And that it’s pretty common for them to teturn with a new ID if they are denied.

If they really needed to eat, they would have filled out the paperwork. Zero sympathy for unmotivated useless people who cant help themselves.

When you're so lazy you don't even bother to do your food stamps paperwork.

Does his office have the power to deny them based on suspicion of fake identification and having seen them before with different ID?

Yep. I posted elsewhere I get food stamps $45 monthly.
I make sure my paperwork is complete & on time. It's not hard.
But I've not gotten any notice or warning that my EBT will be cut off.

I certainly have no issue with having a system to help those who need it. But when people cant do a very basic task to take advantage of that help, then they threaten those tasked with aiding in that help, those people should never receive help again. Make our species stronger.

He says it’s usually the kids who get the stamps...anchor babies.

I’m pretty sure I make 3-4x what he does, but I’m not one to have the very best of everything, so he may not even realize it.
