Grind the middle class to dust between the grinding wheels of Inflation and Taxation. THEN even the middle class will demand Communism.

The fruit of quantitative easing, outsourcing, mass immigration, and a progressive tax structure.

I still don't get where you guys are getting this idea from. Our tax system is extremely progressive and it's very kind to those married and with kids. Plus it got even more generous last year to much of the middle class. The middle class is not suffering under the weight of taxes any more than ever.
It's not taxes. I think health care, daycare, education etc are more of an issue for families. I'm a libertarian leaning Republican btw so I'm not asking for the government to sprinkle magic fairy dust on it either.

They're in a tricky position with their income. Too much for assistance and not enough to get a comfortable emergency fund. They are the guys who suffered the most from Obama care. Without Obamacare, they would have 5-6k more yearly.

If the guy has a big, redneck truck, disregard the pity. That is the biggest waste of money with a lot of baws.

Teachers make over 40k yearly. If they make 80k total, how is his job so great?

To whomever downvoted me, I know I would have an extra 5k without Obamacare. Dems like to tax the middle class and that was a fricking tax to give healthcare to underachievers and illegal aliens.

Millions of people are raising families on that kind of money and and feel fortunate.
It's all about what you're accustomed to.

What fricked the middle class is Obama Care and taxes.

I don't know about patriots. This could all be reversed if we would just stop subsidizing breeding but we won't because we are scared to be called names.

My nephew got the flu. The cost of his medicine is $204.
There's medicine for Flu? I thought flu was a virus and not bacterial?
Flu medicine was always OJ, sleep, NyQuil and maybe some garlic soup.

I keep tabs on the price of food personally weekly with an app on my phone.
I save a lot of money for food by not having a thousand dollar phone. Not saying you don't either, but there's plenty of people who do and probably shouldn't.

Yeah, I don't get it...
My budget is
$1200 for home (way too big for me)
$200 for utilities
$200 for gas
$80 for car insurance
$45 for Humana
$130 for phone (me+kid)
$400 for monthly frick around (coffee, scotch, beer)
$400 for food (mostly eggs, cheese, ramen, milk, cereal)
And I retired because of Wikitiger's financial advice

The cost of living is just too much. Might as well just stay home every night and get drunk

32 after taxes. That’s welfare with the cost of living these days

probably $400-500+/month for health insurance (if their employer covers some), dental, life, 401k. I guarantee you that family has sub 5k left to live on.
Why stop there? House, two cars with insurance, electricity, water, gas, garbage, probably cable or netflix/hulu, groceries, etc.
I bet they're living on less than a thousand a month.
Health insurance, dental, 401k, life insurance, those are all bills my man. I'm not sure why you feel they should be subtracted from their monthly income and say they're living off of less.

Yeah, my wife and me, buy our flip phones at the dollar store and have Verizon unlimited talk/text plans, for 30 bucks a month. The phone that I currently am using cost about 50 bucks when I bought it a couple of years ago.
I was 45 years old before I even had a cell phone. That flip phone still seems like a huge luxury to me.

Tamiflu is ungodly expensive, even when insurance covers part of it.
My copay for it was $94. Never again. It's supposed to lessen flu symptoms, just like any anti-viral is meant to lessen, not stop. Viruses are hard to treat bc they keep changing and the meds don't work as well.
Tamiflu is a racket. Do not pay for it!
