How old is your brother cause this sounds like something I would’ve done when I was in my 20s?

There are also these things called coupons you can get in the US Mail. I got one today. Two large whopper combos for 13.99. Too bad I don’t eat fast food if anything else is available.

We can shake hands. I also think you are a shitty poster. Think of me as DJT, and you are RFKJ. We can bury the hatchet.

Relax. Kamala is gonna fix it.
She just has to finish her 4 year term as Vice President first. And then she’ll fix it. Promise.

Maybe because “I don’t eat fast food a lot”….and was hungry, but I’m not paying $3.59 for a jr bacon cheeseburger. What was hard to understand about the post?

Local sports bar last night after my daughter’s VB match. 4 people with app and a couple of drinks for my wife and I was $160 with tip.
We all got sandwiches/burgers.

In-fricking-sane

But I'm feeling it too. Family of 4 to Walk Ons and it was $100 with a tip and one of us only had a dessert, another a burger, a salad, and shrimp and grits.

I could only think to myself that that was the same cost as 4 prime filets at the meat market. FML

As far as cost is concerned, yes. The cost is a luxury item.
Agreed, it's garbage food.

Hm. I may have to check this out, about the app prices.

six dollars for a pack of cigarettes

Those are now close to $10 pack now due to inflation

Depends on where you live and where you shop.
And of course brand.
When I left NJ two years ago, it was almost 9 bucks a pack for cheapies. Came back to MO and it was about 4 dollars a pack.

The state and city can tax tobacco products, as they will.

Bought a large Supreme at Pizza hut last Saturday for 15.99. Price OK, quality terrible. They sent me an email next day asking about my purchase. I told them it was worst pizza I have had in a long time and wouldn't be back.

Pizza Hut used to be my favorite as a kid.
But it's gone soooo far downhill.
Cheap sauce, cheap crust, and the last time I got one, only the center half of the pie had toppings.
Not even sauce!

One of the most depressing videos I’ve ever watched was one whatifalthist did a few weeks ago where he described his “average” viewer’s life in painful detail. One line that stood out to me was “his ancestors immigrated to the United States bragging that here, they could afford to eat beef every night of the week. How often can he afford beef for himself to eat?” I had visited the grocery store that day and scoffed at the high beef prices, and bought a small package of chicken because it was all I could afford. I tried to remember the last time I had bought fresh beef. I literally couldn’t remember. It had been months.

This week, I went to a grocery store out in a rural area and finally found some ground beef and even steaks I could afford. I ate one of those steaks for dinner tonight and felt like a king. I have to make that family pack last a LOOOOOOONG time.

It's not just the fast food industry. Unfortunately, as a whole, the medical field is the same. Each department in each hospital. I've worked in hospitals for 45 years. I've lived it. I see it.

Yeah, but for an adult, that little double burger is as fulfilling, as eating VOR's mom's vagiburger.

A lot of the comments are basically g thse costs on the economy. I'm not arguing that, I agree.
There's a couple of other factors tho too.
Fast food workers are making hourly wages that are just stupid insane for the job. That cost has to be passed on, or the store closes down, eventually.

Part of the reasons they get paid so much is because the restaurants have a hiring problem.
People have figured out they'll get paid just as well, with less work, DELIVERING the stuff. Grubhub, doordash,Uber eats, etc.

You know inflation is worldwide right?

Right?

Yeah and so is the US dollar mostly too...What's your point?

When our government spent a boatload on a whole bunch of crap like Gender Studies and Green New steal bullshite, right after spending a whole bunch on Covid 19 ( that they may or may not have helped unleash to get Trump out of office) they caused a boatload of inflation worldwide.

I drive 25k miles a year and usually have to eat out for lunch a ton. The Biden admin has destroyed my buying power. Everything is a damn fortune now and I make not much more than I did 4 years ago. The media pretending this presidential admin has been good for the last 4 years is the best evidence for how the Dems have rigged it all. What kind of head in the sand mommy’s basement living loser would believe that load of horse shite?
