Political consultant Mary Matalin praised President Trump as “a great overall president,” calling his job performance “stunning” and adding that she can “die happy now.”

In 2016, Matalin left the Republican Party and registered as a Libertarian but the pundit told PJM she “can’t leave the party because it’s Hotel California.”

“I always thought, as Reagan did, that libertarianism was central to conservatism. I have the same philosophy and I support the same policies. I just thought, at the time, it had nothing to do with Trump, whom I think is doing a great job. It’s just that I didn't see those principles and policies being reflected in the majorities that we kept electing,” Matalin told PJM in an exclusive interview at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference.

What is the meaning of the “Hotel California” expression in that context? Never heard it used that way before.

I don't know what this means, in context of his opinion of Republicans or Democrats?

Lol I wish I had time for Xbox. Know what the Eagles song is about but never heard it used in that context before.

Yeah, you beat me to it. How about the confusing lyrics about "Pink Champagne on ice" but then later or maybe earlier it says:

"something, something, then Please bring me my wine" but then followed by "we haven't had that spirit here since 1965"

Curious (in my best Andy Griffith voice.

Take anything from Mary Matalin with a grain of salt. As if anybody on our side listens to anything she has to say. Presents herself as a quasi-conservative and meanwhile married to that creep....what's his face. Maybe she should drag her creepy husband down a manufactured housing residential development street and see how many rednecks (a.k.a deplorables) pounce on him and whip his........

MAGA!
