If some party hack is affixing patently fake signatures to ballots, they will get caught ... IF the counties actually do effective signature comparisons.
My concern is that so amny will attempt mail voting that they will overwhelm the system and that the comparisons will not ever get made.

Hank, 10s of millions would be crazy talk indeed, but theoretically, when we hear so much about how thin the margins were in the most key areas resulting in Trump's victory.....then a substantial manipulation of the overall result might not require many instances. And if there's the opportunity, why wouldn't it be seized upon? Just trust that people wouldn't take advantage of those circumstances?

Seriously, my concern is that the numbers of lazy voters will overwhelm the system’s ability to catch fraud from EITHER side.

Apparently you do not see the humor in all the pearl-clutching about how the OTHER team will do all the cheating.
If you look at the strengths of the two parties, the Dems are probably better-equipped to cheat on election day by bussing loads of hired voters, while the GOP is probably better able to game the system on vote-by-mail.

I just think there's differences in philosophies between the pursuers and the pursued. The pursuers are generally more inclined to go a little extra distance to tighten up the race.
But sure, those roles can and do change. Meaning there is potential for guilt all around. Maybe saving them from themselves (from doing wrong) is the safest route.
