What's more, they are in every sense a "crossing of the Rubicon" in American politics. The poisonous climate is DC is metastasizing and the citizenry is going to suffer.
I lay this squarely at the feet of the Left and I pray that the GOP will find a backbone and that Trump will soldier on.
You and I are about same age. I also grew up in the 80s and I've been a student of history dating back to my childhood days. And I completely agree wit your post 100%. There is one problem though. I don't think the problem with the GOP is a lack of backbone, at least not at the leadership level. The problem is they're just as hostile towards changing the culture in Washington (and thus hate Trump) as the progressives.

Wait,I thought you said he was an elected official so now you're saying he wasn't at the time?
Can you NOT SEE the difference between an elected official and private citizen?Or even the difference between a private citizen and the MSM?
