There is where you have a problem. You can ask for clarification; you can note lack of backing, links, etc. You can claim that w/o those, discussion is senseless.

However, when you jump the shark with contention jdoc's is "a position that is a fallacy," it shifts burden to you.

This isn't a matter of agreement. It's about an illogical statement by stacking the deck, false premise, and non sequitur.

Why don't you tell us why you think the MSM is fair and unbiased, and not an enemy of the truth.

He wasn't arguing fair and unbiased. That would be a different discussion. He argued to the extreme "the media is the enemy of the American people."

Nope

You mean talking about articles with Trump to see if it meets his approval? When have those actions been done?

Oh yeah.... Via the dem party and the MSM

Honest reporting would have shut the lie down.

Instead, Americans got stuck with a pig-in-a-poke.
The BS foisted upon us under auspices of "healthcare reform" had nothing whatsoever to do with healthcare.
It had to do with health insurance.

It was so flawed that now, a mere 3 years in, it is already in a death spiral.
Billions and billions of wasted dollars.
Mandated health insurance most Americans cannot afford to use.

All deliberately enabled and advanced by a complicit pro-socialist press --- the enemy of the American people.

Misrepresenting my quote by saying it applies to your post when I'm talking about Jjdoc's.

when you made that post I was asking champagne a question and you took that question out of context and responded with something completely different.

Bold move

Another one
You need to look at what I quoted from Champagne and have a fundamental understanding of reasoning to get it.

It's all financial interest. There's no America to Corporate Business on such a grand scale as the media.

Cheap labor, mass immigration, globalism and outsourcing American jobs for cheap production.

Trump has a point. This isn't a free independent press anymore. They are paid political hacks cheering on their side.

So you're saying the free market has failed us.

That's quite an indictment.

They actually haven't failed "us". They have just changed from being news organizations to "Entertainment Tonight" for politics.

Everyone just needs to catch up and recognize the switch.

CNN's website regarding jouranlistic integrity is hilarious. They are still claiming to be without bias when their entire network proves otherwise.

It's not news. It's political opinions and political entertainment.

Just accept it for what it is even if they won't admit it.

Applies to Fox too by the way.

So what is the solution? If the media is the enemy of the people how do we defeat the enemy? Their existence is guaranteed by the Constitution.

Perhaps you missed this in the thread title:

quote:

How the media has become the enemy of the American people

I wanted to get Jdocich's opinion on his statement. Apparently he feels like the free market has failed to give us an adequate press.

Maybe the press is simply giving the American market exactly what it demands.

The letter news stations are giving their customers exactly what they want.

Their rating are evidence.

It's not what we need in my opinion though.

All sides should push back on the letter stations on cable and over the air. They are not news orgs any longer much of the time.

Which was a reply to

Is this a joke

Which was a reply to when champagne said:
quote:

It's not an argument. It's a conclusion logically derived from objective facts

Which is the definition of an argument.

I tried to tell to you that you didn't understand what I was taking about when you responded with three paragraphs after "no" with:
quote:

You need to look at what I quoted from Champagne and have a fundamental understanding of reasoning to get it.

Those paragraphs had nothing to do with what I was poking fun of when Champagne posted those two sentences.

And you keep quoting this
quote:

This isn't a matter of agreement. It's about an illogical statement by stacking the deck, false premise, and non sequitur.

Which was a reply to another poster who was talking about Jjdoc. Not you. Yet you keep acting like I responded to your post with it
