Good luck getting support.
You need will need every one of these "GOPe" at times over the next few years, they'll not be there and you'll wonder why.
They vote with Democrats all the time. No one needs them. What's needed is to get them out of Congress. It's like you live in a fantasy world and think that magically one day they'll all just start doing the right thing. As much as you rail against Trump, you commit the same sin.

But don't establishment Republicans bitch about the open border, too?
Bitching and acting are 2 very different things.

Name the Republicans that advocate for an open border.
Paul Ryan did and still does. Mitch advocates for immigration to fill jobs. Mitch McConnell pushed Senate Republicans to pass a bipartisan immigration.

Out of frustration, yall just want to destroy.
If you had a huge majority, that would make more sense. But like a terrible chemo drug, I think yall are bad for the host.

Bad when Mitch does this.
Is it good when someone else does it?
'We need people': Donald Trump says he wants to see more legal immigration in U.S.
quote:
“I need people coming in because we need people to run the factories and plants and companies that are moving back in,” he told a group of reporters from regional newspapers. “We need people.”

No, I want them replaced by people who want the USA Citizens put first. This isn't that hard to grasp.

That's my point. You're a big Trump fan so you see him being obstructed by other Republicans in getting the wall built, but tell me - did Trump lobby to have recalcitrant Republicans in the House (on the wall) primaried because they didn't back funding the wall the way he did Thomas Massie because Massie objected to spending trillions on Democrat causes in 2020?
Why is that?
quote:
Mitch McConnell pushed Senate Republicans to pass a bipartisan immigration.
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) told The Hill in an interview that he sees the failure of the Biden administration to curb the flow of migrants across the southern border as a “huge issue,” and he thinks it will take center stage in the presidential campaign.

When?
Elections coming up here this year.

Yes because of the plan and method of choice.
From your own link:
quote:
Trump's administration also has moved to cut legal immigration. It has granted fewer visas, approved fewer refugees, ordered the removal of hundreds of thousands of legal residents whose home countries have been hit by war and natural disasters and pushed Congress to pass laws to dramatically cut the entire legal immigration system.

it has to be through a legal process and a process really of merit
So yeah... big difference

You should have kept reading.
Because after this
quote:
Trump's administration also has moved to cut legal immigration. It has granted fewer visas, approved fewer refugees, ordered the removal of hundreds of thousands of legal residents whose home countries have been hit by war and natural disasters and pushed Congress to pass laws to dramatically cut the entire legal immigration system.
came this
quote:
At Wednesday’s briefing with regional reporters, Trump was asked if his unscripted remark in the State of the Union about letting in more legal immigrants represented a change in policy.
“Yes,” he said, “because we need people in our country because our unemployment numbers are so low, and we have massive numbers of companies coming back into our country.”
So the previous paragraph was an old policy that Trump was backing away from.
quote:
it has to be through a legal process and a process really of merit
Our legal immigration system is as broken as our border. Someone advocating for "America First" should know that.
We also have plenty of people here already, so advocating for more immigrants isn't "America First". It is good to see that once again your movement has no principles. It's just whatever Trump wants. That's fine by me but stop acting like you're the group fighting the establishment.

Yes. Trump was sent to the WH on a mandate. The same voters gave the house and Senate to the GOP... and the GOPE blocked it.
Trump telling the American people the truth about those "representatives" was more than right. You may not like it, but we sent them there to do the damn job.
Finding replacements that push them out or into doing what the voters demanded (represent them) was and will always be the right thing.

I've never heard someone who lost the popular vote claim they had a mandate.

And Trump sent Marc Short to get the job done. An open borders, Koch brothers, chamber of commerce, establishment Republican.
