Yes. Trump was sent to the WH on a mandate. The same voters gave the house and Senate to the GOP... and the GOPE blocked it.

Trump telling the American people the truth about those "representatives" was more than right. You may not like it, but we sent them there to do the damn job.

Finding replacements that push them out or into doing what the voters demanded (represent them) was and will always be the right thing.

You may want to read my question again.

The only Republican Trump lobbied to have primaried was a conservative, and he lobbied for him to be primaried because he objected to spending trillions of dollars needlessly.

Trump didn't lobby to have Republicans voting down wall funding primaried - or did I miss that?

So Trump not only didn't do what you suggest he did, he did the opposite. And that's my point about who's establishment and who isn't.

But it's lonely being a conservative in today's Republican party, so I'll continue to help those that think they're conservative but are being played by the establishment.

Again with the BS tactics from you.

Not one single person has ever stated "no legal immigration". You are selling a narrative not based in facts.

Yes Trump cut immigration. He held the power in the executive to curb it. He started that in 2017... Jan to be more exact.

- Section 11 of the order directs DHS to expand expedited removal throughout the country

- Section 5 expands the priority list of noncitizens subject to deportation to anyone charged of a criminal offense, who committed acts that constitute a criminal offense, who engaged in fraud or willful misrepresentation, who has abused any program related to public benefits, who is subject to a final order of removal, but has not departed, or who otherwise poses a risk to public safety.

- Section 3 of the executive order suspends the issuance of visas to countries designated as being detrimental to the interests of the United States for 90 days, listing Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Syria, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen.

- Section 4 requires implementation of uniform screening standards for all immigration programs, to include assessments such as whether an individual is a risk, will be a positive contributor to the nation, and has the ability to make contributions in the national interest.

In short, Trump has always advocated for MERIT BASED immigration. Not flood across the border.

Try again.

Yeah, he and David absolutely want to paint false narratives and claim them as facts. But that's what they do.

From local government to the state legislature to DC.

And the only way to do that is to KEEP shining a light on those that need to go and why.

I never said otherwise Jj.

Let's get back on point.

Mitch wants to fill jobs with immigrants - bad establishment
Trump wants to fill jobs with immigrants - good America First

Just because Trump wants merit based immigration, doesn't change the fact that both men want to flood the country with immigrants to help lower wages. (McConnell doesn't openly or even privately want illegals either, funny that you were careful about that earlier and then pretend otherwise now that Trump and he are on the same page)

I googled and came up empty.

There was this fun little story though.

Trump bows to conservative backlash over border wall funding

quote:

Rattled by accusations he was caving on his promised border wall, President Donald Trump instead bowed to a conservative backlash.

After signaling earlier in the week that he was backing off a government shutdown threat, Trump rapidly changed course on Thursday, informing House Republican leaders that he would not sign a short-term funding measure because it did not include money for a southern border wall. His second reversal in a matter of days — with time left to pivot yet again — came after conservative allies and pundits savaged him for waffling on a central campaign promise.

Same. Plus, I'd bet that if Trump had done that, it would have been mentioned a few hundred times in these threads (rightfully so).
