his 2003 plan to invest social security and Medicare funds into the market. We wouldn’t be in this whole if that money was allowed to grow at even below avg return rates.

Basically, we had a chance in the 90s and early 2000s to prevent Medicare and ss from ballooning into giant deficits and we chose to stick our fingers in our ears.
Because SS was NEVER about you, the retiree. It was NEVER about your benefit. There is but one beneficiary of SS, That is Uncle Sam.

Uncle Sam is borrowing your money on terms he sets, and obligating you to participate.

The regular person has no idea how much money is a trillion dollars. To get an idea how much money that is, I asked the question...

How long would it take to count, by ones, to a trillion?

The answer... 31,000 years.

People don't really know the hole that we are truly in. Even if we were to profit $500 billion per year, it would take 72 years to pay back our deficit.

A balanced budget is just the start.

Try this mind game out to get a grasp of how big one trillion is.

The closest star is Alpha Centauri, it's approximately 4.3 light years away. Light travels at a little over 9 trillion miles in one year, US debt is approaching $37 trillion, it would take over 4 light years of miles traveled to equal the same number of US dollars of debt......insane.

Based on what I am reading and seeing, I’m not sure we actually owe that much in debt. The swamp has been laundering and stealing while adding who knows how much to the deficit so the Fed can collect for infinity.

a trillion is 1000 billion, and a billion is 1000 million......it's a lot!

And my calculator cannot show you all the zeros.....there are 12 zeros BTW.

1,000,000,000,000 = 1 trillion
