Curious if trump was always pro markets and reflected as such. It seems like from Jan to dec 2016 the trend was pretty linear throughout. If the businesses in US assumed Hillary was going to be president till the week/ night of then I thought I would see a spike. Does the candidate have any real influence on the market the week of election?

Good question.

If Trump wins again, all the Democrat territories will likely extend more kung flu restrictions to try and tank the economy further.

The market does not like uncertainty. I knew that Trump was going to win in 2016 when the futures market plunged on the night of the election. It took 24 hours to recover.

It’s pretty much business as usual regardless of who is president. People around here like to give credit and blame when it suits their needs.

I think the economy already hit its low in terms of market impacts back in March. Those who could survive did and only weeded out companies on the verge which was a matter of time regardless

You are shortsighted. This is not a Gore vs Bush or Obama vs McCain/Romney situation. All of those candidates were a slightly different shade from one another. Biden is the trojan horse to push for massive changes. That is a time that "buying Gold" will be a sure fire bet.

Hillary good for the markets? A fool and his money are soon parted.
