Medicare for all would actually save money compared to the status quo

Bernie's "Medicare for all" plan = $4 TRILLION

U.S. government estimated FY 2021 revenue = $3.8 TRILLION

You have no clue what you're talking about

FWIW, that yale study is a bit of an outlier. Most other studies (by even left wing think tanks) find that M4A would result in higher national health spending, because it would lead to huge surge in demand for healthcare.

That yale study assumed zero surge in demand, which is absurd to assume. When you set the price of something to zero, demans will soar.

The yale study also assumed massive administrative savings that various experts question would even be possible.
My big question for those who believe it will save money is, why didn’t California implement universal healthcare?

They brought it up and discussed it.

If it would cost significantly less than what is currently being spent, these states should be able to pay for it and save themselves money, but they don’t.

Why not?

California has about the same population size as Canada and a significantly more robust economy, yet they didn’t implement it.

Why?

And your candidate endorses a 90 trillion dollar plan over 10 years despite us taking in about 4 trillion per year. That's realistic. Lmao.

I’ve never owned a gun in my life and I didn’t move when Trump was elected. You sound like the pussy needing a gun if Bernie is elected.

Okay, well here’s the libertarian Mercatus Report

Some costs go up but overall health costs go down by 302 million.

The leading current bill to establish single-payer health insurance, the Medicare for All Act (M4A), would, under conservative estimates, increase federal budget commitments by approximately $32.6 trillion during its first 10 years of full implementation (2022–2031), assuming enactment in 2018. This projected increase in federal healthcare commitments would equal approximately 10.7 percent of GDP in 2022, rising to nearly 12.7 percent of GDP in 2031 and further thereafter. Doubling all currently projected federal individual and corporate income tax collections would be insufficient to finance the added federal costs of the plan. It is likely that the actual cost of M4A would be substantially greater than these estimates, which assume significant administrative and drug cost savings under the plan, and also assume that healthcare providers operating under M4A will be reimbursed at rates more than 40 percent lower than those currently paid by private health insurance.
That is not a ringing endorsement.

Why does Canada spend less on healthcare than we do while insuring everyone and spending less on prescriptions?

Again, Canada is akin to ONE state, California.

You cannot apply it to the entire country considering it is a little less than 1/10 the population size.

You can compare it to individual states, like CA.

Again, if it would reduce costs, why didn’t CA implement it?

By the way, California was projected to cost $400 billion by itself.

My family is set. Land, food, clean water, lots of guns of every caliber, make and mode with ammo far in excess of what we combined could use in a lifetime.

If Bernie wins, I quit work immediately and get all my money out of banks (and many other invesments) before he’s sworn into office.

If anyone tries to steal anything they better be armed and better shots than we are.

I just keep a shotgun. I've never felt the need to stock an armory.

Besides, you're talking about anti gun types. If the leftists ever come here looking for shite they're more likely to find a baseball bat to the dome than anything else. I pity the fool who tries to overrun me in my own home.

And if shite ever gets hectic I might even take to setting up traps around the outside of my home. I can make makeshift riot control devices that would cause much damage without ever even firing a gun.

I’d also argue that California, as a state, contributes a lot of its gdp to the country for states like Mississippi who give nothing (or negative), if it was its own country, I’m sure they would have their own single payer healthcare system like every other first-world nation
