I don't have an issue with it. He would be one of the only establishment politicians given a position in this administration. SOS does require a certain personality and people-pleasing ability. And Romney is one of the best at sucking up to people. Plus this will pull in the rest of the Never-Trump retards. They will bend the knee

In the past Romney has proven himself to be quite capable of getting done what needs to be done. Also, we have to look to the big picture as it applies to political races in the future and this is an expedient way of unifying the party to some degree.

I see your point and share your concerns, but ultimately secretary of state is a somewhat isolated position. it's a very powerful position, but isolated.

It's ironically similar to Obama offering it to Hillary in 2009

Pretty much agree with your assessment, Sent. The Right has had it with throwing blood and treasure at the ME; we don't need that oil anymore. Though the Saudis have threatened us to not quit buying it.

It's a delicate balance over there; Romney - with Trump riding shotgun - will be better than Rudy at walking that tightrope.
