Which kind of renders the "Taliban didn't honor the terms" argument moot when used as reason for not giving up Bagram. Those who negotiated at Doha — and Trump himself by extension — negotiated a "deal" with an entity that disregarded its terms throughout the entire process. If anyone should have halted the deal/talks it was Trump when it became clear that the Taliban (and others) had no intention of honoring it. He and his representatives fostered a bad deal, and people are far too willing to let him/them off the hook.

That says nothing to the piss poor management of the actual withdrawal by the Biden admin. It is perfectly okay to say that all involved along the way were varying degrees of shite.
