Couple notes: when they say "32nd floor" it doesn't mean that he was 32 floors up. Having stayed at Mandalay Bay I believe they skip floors for some reason.
i saw a show about vegas a while back which said that there are no 13's anywhere in vegas because its bad luck, every hotel goes from the number 12's to 14's for each room number and floor but if im not mistaken roulette wheels do have a number 13

secondly someone slap the shite out of the idiot who thinks a helicopter should fire a rocket into the building that would require police to evacuate the entire building first and could cause all sorts of collateral damage to the building structure to come down.
What, dontcha know that PDs rountinely have an Apache loaded with Hellfire missles

they arent just blindly going in like rambo blasting lead everywhere killing anything in sight like you see in movies.
Basically what I have been saying just a little more bluntly stated

I think that's a blinking light that happens to match up to the gunfire sound for a sec. For a split second there's no gunfire sound, but the light's still blinking. I'd need to see a photo of that window shot out from today if I'm going to believe. Interesting link though..
Maybe a reflection from Paddock that was reflecting from another casino? Many of the building there are glass or mirrored and it might be possible...

Barrett's don't grow on trees and can you imagine trying to identify the exact location of the shooter then vectoring in a sniper team to a building that had a clear field of fire on said target while trying to fight through the traffic/fleeing victims all in a timely manner?
And not to mention the .50 would go through the room, the hallway, the next room and possibly into another casino.
I have a .50BMG (Armalite, I could not afford a Barret) and it is a bad arse round.

Trump just said it "was a miracle" how fast police got in

Very true, but it's hard for alpha males to sit back and not do anything while people are dying

On the police scanner an officer said where the shots were coming from. There have a massive hotel with 2 windows knocked out and flashes of gunfire being seen. So what is your question?

For police to stop the shooting? This guy literally laid fire from a hotel room for 36 minutes pretty much non stop.
How on Earth does the response to this take so long? I know you need precautions, maybe someone on the board knows more about crisis handling, but it is crazy. He shot for over an hour before they got to his room.
Edited for shooting time accuracy.
Police were on site and actively searching for the shooter within FOUR minutes of the first report of shots fired.
The time delay was due to the obvious. police had no idea where the shots were coming from to begin with, and literally were running TOWARDS gunfire that they eventually realized was coming from the hotel above them and THEN they finally got to the guy.
Stupid complaint is stupid.

You would think other people on the 32nd floor would have reported the noise.
