You are a complete moron if you think nukes being illegal is the reason the average Joe doesn't buy a nuke. People don't buy them because they're not an effective defensive weapon and they're expensive. I know of absolutely no one who's ever wanted a nuke and neither do you.

Because it isn't a firearm. It's an object capable of taking out literally millions of people in a split second. Again, you are repeatedly comparing apples and oranges. An AR catastrophe ends with 500 casualties, a nuke catastrophe can end with New York City literally not existing anymore. AR's cannot economically decimate an entire country. AR's cannot render an entire region's soil infertile for 1,000 years. AR's cannot cause a nuclear winter and semi-permanently change a region's climate and scatter fallout across almost the entire USA.
What do you not understand about this?
