"A not guilty verdict in Kate Steinle murder trial by politicizing that case into a not guilty travesty. How could you do that San Franciso?
God almighty ladies and gentlemen San Franciso people like you and me found that career criminal and habitual illegal border crosser not guilty of killing Kate Steinle.
Who went for a simple walk with her family in San Francisco.
How on earth could that Jury find this scumbag Mr. Zarate innocent when of course he is guilty?

You do know that a ballistics/firearm expert testify that the best marksmen on the planet would not be able to duplicate the tragic shot even under lab conditions.
So its ok for me to go fire my handgun into my neighborhood and if it happens to bounce off the ground and kill someone 400 yards away, its basically ok in your eyes
whats hilarious is how this gets twisted into a left vs right thing

They should have concentrated on some sort of manslaughter charge.
From what I know there are no elements of 'murder' which relate to the actions. Of course I am not a legal expert, but neither are the members of the jury.
Seems to me the only charge that could be sustained by evidence was recklessness.
He may well have intended to kill someone - but I am aware of no actual evidence to support that. I am sure this happens all the time.
The entity that should be attacked is the city and county of San Francisco.
It is their fecklessness that caused the death of Kate Steinle. They should be the ones to suffer the consequences. They need to be forced to enter one of those "Consent Decrees" which puts the FedGov in the position of directing their policing actions.

I'm sure I am on your side of this tragic event, but you weaken our side when you use such silly analogies.
The prosecution of this individual was overstated. As much as in pains me, there is no evidence that I am aware of that shows he had any intent to commit 'murder.' He was reckless in his actions - as you would be for the elements of your analogy.
However if you went outside and intentionally fired your weapon with the knowledge that something tragic could result, then you may well be subject to some sort of murder charge - certainly not 1st degree however.
The sad case of Kate Steinle is a result of the whole 'sanctuary city' bullshite. The blame belongs there. They should be at least be charged with maintaining an 'attractive nuiscance' that resulted in a death of an innocent person - just as if you had an unattended swimming pool with no fence that some toddler fell into and drowned.
The particulars of this illegal alien is of no consequence - he is just another wart on the arse of San Francisco. Putting him on the gallows would only further shield the city of San Francisco from their own culpability.

I know this doesnt meet with your expectations of a really really evil illegal bad brown person, with the whole reasonable doubt thing, but the guy had no violent criminal history, also the shot bounced 12 feet in front of him then traveled 80 feet. The gun was also tested and showed wear to the point of being prone to accidentally firing.

What are you wearing to the not guilty party you and your other prog filth are holding tonight. Assless chaps like the rest of your gang?

Unless you were in the courtroom, it's very difficult to judge the verdeict fairly.

I would bet 99.9% of the folks in this thread don't know the facts of the case.

What I don't understand is why the Feds didn't pick up Zarate from jail when he was released instead of asking the San Fran sheriff's department to pick him up?
