A 29-year-old man is dead after Atlanta police say a fight escalated into a fatal stabbing on the Atlanta BeltLine near Ponce de Leon Avenue. Investigators identified the victim as Ramon Harris. Witnesses described panic as people began running from the scene, and cellphone video reportedly captured moments leading up to the attack.

Police arrested 54-year-old Jonathan Hamby. Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the altercation and whether mental health may have been a factor. Authorities also said Hamby was on active probation when the incident occurred.

In response, Mayor Andre Dickens announced a review of BeltLine safety measures, including patrols, camera coverage, and emergency response protocols. The investigation remains ongoing.

Well since this fits the media's racial violence narrative, maybe something will get done about it. We already know what happens when the colors are reversed. Memorials for the killer are painted over the victims.

It’s time to start releasing the name of the judges who let these repeat violent criminals walk. Like add to the news story “Harris was released from prison by judge Sara Smith, and Mike Jones.”

Yeah, they'll actually convict this guy and not let him off for "insanity."

I don't care what color you are, no one should be walking around free, in public, with that kind of criminal record. Tired of this bullshite.

National sentencing guidelines for violent crime are needed.
