The one thing my democrat friend and I can political agree is anyone but Shelia Jackson.

Whitmire seems like a mayor that will make decisions for that will not fill his pockets.

Not taking away from GOP sucks, but I don't think the numbers are there for Houston anymore. After Dora won, I just accepted that my hometown is a democrat shithole. The suburbs are the only thing keeping it together and those are changing too.

Moved out of that shithole 11 years ago and hate it every time I have to go back. Not the Houston I grew up and worked in for so many years.

Pretty poor turn out.

Only a few hundred thousand people voted. I have no idea on percentage of turnout, but it has to be in single digits.

If it was a national election there would be 102% democratic voter turnout.
