Not necessarily a bad thing though.

England, Wales and NI are better off without the Jocks. Scotland is basically a third-world, welfare-addicted country whose hatred of the English is based largely on Hollywood fantasy. The idea that a centuries-old political union should be abolished, because of wars that happened in the mid 1300's and 1700's, in favor of a political union dominated by a country you were at war with only 75 years ago, is insane. They should be able to do what they want, but the English should be begging them to go and say good riddance once and for all.

Need to rebuild Hadrian’s wall

And I’m largely of Scottish descent and am shamed by their actions in current year.

I wonder how many leftist voters are going to hurry up and get their EU passports and move to the EU. Hopefully it's a lot.

This must not be too big of a deal. I don't see any media outlets reporting on it

And the media is silent. They talked for the last 3+ years about how this was the end of all things civilized.

Maybe not silent, but not hyperbolic anymore. It's just another day and the world keeps on spinning.

Tell the EU to take a hike. Pull an Iceland and refuse to pay your creditors back. Pain for 2 years then perfect start over

Just went to BBC.com not one mention of this on the homepage. Are they ignoring it or is it not real?

I just read that the House of Lords(full of remainers) put 5 amendments to Brexit. Then the House of Commons will receive it and a debate called "ping pong" will ensue.(I assume that means they will go back and forth with their arguments). The Lords are attempting a "softer" Brexit.

Good for western civilization, because the way the EU is set up is a bigger threat to democracy than China because it has non elected bureaucrats imposing political policies on democratic countries. So you have political leaders who do not answer to the people they "serve". The UK is paving a way for the correction of this. One of two things will happen. Either the EU will adapt and become more democratic, or the UK is just the first of a series of countries leaving and the EU folds. The EU is responsible for the Islamization of Europe, and imposing poverty on the Mediterranean countries by redistributing their wealth and poltical policies. The EU is essentially the second attempt at communism between multiple countries in a centralized government in Europe. The first being the Soviet Union in that is redistributes the wealth of nations in a remarkably similar way. In one way the Eu is worse because it does it under deceit and pretends to be democratic. At least the Soviets were honest about being communist.
