Notice I never once endorsed Omar herself. I saw what she said. It’s all about the Benjamins. It is. Tons of foreign actors try to influence Congress through money and lobbyists, and it’s anti-Semitic when it’s pointed out Israel does it to?

Even the admins here seem to be affected by it. When you can silence any criticism by labeling it anti-Semitic then you’re immune to criticism on any grounds.

I don't care who the messenger is if the statement is objectively true. The messenger smear is the same kind of garbage used by the left to denigrate Assange and Snowden, even though the subject matter of their leaks is unassailable. Rep. Omar is a vile woman who I have serious disagreements with on a host of issues, but her commentary on the disproportionate influence of Israel in American politics is absolutely true. Criticizing Israel is a Top 3 political sin, regardless of the political party to which you belong.

Banning legitimate criticism of Israel encourages the crazies because it is completely illogical to label everything anti-Semitic and it does suggest an ulterior motive in doing so.
You flush out the legitimacy of topics by being able to criticize and discuss them in the free marketplace of ideas. If you stifle one side of the conversation then you’re going to raise eyebrows as to why the other side is not able to be presented.
