Breaks my heart to see the Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln, RE Lee, etc. statues not just removed... but torn down and vandalized.

I would prefer those of us that love this country's history remove these statues honorably to a safe location so they can be properly respected by people who know their history.

Anyone aware of any such organization or effort?

Mitch said the statutes he had removed would be placed in another area/museum-like, for public viewing.Last I heard, they are still stored somewhere, out of sight.

no matter how they are disposed of it still is a joke..these vandals are actually saving cities thousands of dollars by doing it themselves.

The value of those is not insignificant. They are being destroyed WITH COOPERATION of city and state governments.

When I was TDY at Pueblo Army Depot there was a warehouse where all the Nazi art from WWII was stored. We were allowed entrance by appointment to look at it and I was surprised at the sheer volume.

Now if I want to see statues I guess the process will be the same. Gives me the sads.

did you miss the story?

a couple of reporters tracked them down to a scrap yard where they were melted down as scrap metal and a friend of mitch got all the money from it.

it all started when a rich couple wanted to buy one of the statues for their estate yet no one knew where they were at
