All I know is that pretty much every gay person I've known, it was obvious pretty early in their life... at least in hindsight. Whether it's genetic or not I am in favor of treating it as though it is outside of their control.

Obvious in what way, may I ask? I mean, I've known some guys that seemed effeminate, that got married had families and, as far as I know, never touched a man. I've known some so-called he-men that came out gay.

Behavior is always in your control. You may choose not to control that behavior, but I can't think of anything in my behavior in which I have absolutely no control. I control if I rape, steal, sleep with a man or a woman, whether i have sex or not at all....I am guessing you are saying a preference is not controllable?

And all I'm saying is that without any clear evidence of a mutation or any direction to go in to PROVE it is genetic, than it's probably not.

I take a libertarian stance when it comes to peoples' civil rights; and no one should have that fricked with.

But when you try and twist science to fit your political agenda, there is a problem.

Think how much further we would be in terms of climate change had the whole thing not been politicized. And the Democratic Party is to blame for that more often than not.

Making them scumbags.

I gotta say...that I have had gay people say they are the same as heterosexual except they prefer men.

However, I could not have sex with a guy. My body wouldn't cooperate. I find the thought of having sex with a man repulsive. I would not have an erection. However, gay men get married and have kids sometimes.
How can they do that if they are the same as a heterosexual only preferring men instead of women?

How do you inherit dyslexia? Dyslexia has a large inherited component (about 50%). Ten important genes have so far been identified; many are involved in setting up the brain during development in utero. Boys are more likely to be affected than girls.

Well, if you have a link that answers your question about your son and dyslexia.

Now, do you have the same for homosexuality?

Ask a person with an ill temper if they have a choice to be ill-tempered. I'd wager most would say they didn't have a choice. A person's perceptions of their choices isn't an especially reliable data point.

I am the dyslexic . I don't have a son

It's likely my dad is too but they didn't care to test for that back in the day

Well, from what I understand it is a plethora of reasons.

A neurobiological disorder. But my point still stands. Why must ever major faction of the Democratic Party be reduced to victims?

Is it because victims are never set free? They can tow the party line forever and never leave?

I know the answer to that question. No need to respond.

Typical response for someone that can't defend a position.

I guess the logic is so basic that this study and all the other related studies were just a big waste of time, huh? Some jackass on tiger droppings has all the answers.

There was a medical journal about 30 years old that also came to the conclusion that women were natural lesbians...and society and security and history and the most powerful, the motherly instinct and want for children, makes men attractive to them.

But really, they are comfortable with doing each other.

The study must have watched porn.

You never see in porn the camera guy suddenly asking two guys in a threesome to go gay but women do it without flinching.

Nah.

I'm more obsessed with the left's skewed version of science (I.e. Climate change, homosexuality) and how they politicize their views for political gain.

Ya we'll have to agree to disagree. As a gay man though I can tell you I was definitely born this way. I've been gay as long as I can remember and I have a twin who's straight. Funny how y'all pick and choose which scientific articles to believe based on your preconceived beliefs and unwillingness to admit that the left might actually be right every once in a while.

I've been a Conservative, Republican for as long as I can remember. I highly doubt that was genetic, though.
