You're doing a great job finding these perverts social media accounts, and news reports, and putting together the pieces. If there's any possible deniability, the Mockingbird Media isn't gonna cover it, and the corrupt cops are going to protect them. You have to go live to catch these people.

If absolutely noone with inside intelligence and access to superior technology and training is working against these frickers, what in god's name can amateurs accomplish?
The FBI isn't being allowed to investigate this. They want to, but the top levels won't let them, because the country is currently run by dark occultists that cover up for each other. These blackmail rings are how they keep each other in line.

If we have another 'comet pizza shooter'
Oh no, someone might do something bad! Better not investigate the Satanists raping and murdering children!

Under those conditions we stand as much to lose of the republic as to regain of it. It should be the absolute last resort
Why do you think we haven't set off a 2nd American Revolution yet? It's not like we don't have the capability. Hell, you have the capability if you're clever enough.

Neuropsychopharmacologist David Nutt on Alcohol, LSD, and Getting Sacked for His Findings

quote:

Gareth Iwan Jones Gareth Iwan Jones The British psychiatrist and neuropsychopharmacologist David Nutt had reached arguably the pinnacle of his field as chairman of the government's Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. Then in 2009 he was summarily dismissed from his position. In May, Reason TV's Zach Weissmueller sat down with Nutt to discuss his sacking, and what he's learned from the psychedelic research he continues to do at Imperial College London. Q: What happened that caused you to lose your job? A: We did an enormous amount of research into the comparative harms of drugs, and I discovered, somewhat to my surprise, that alcohol was actually the most harmful drug in the U.K. I started explaining to the government, "Our drug laws are wrong. Putting people in prison for cannabis possession is not fair, because alcohol is more dangerous." They did not want to hear that. Q: You just completed some research on LSD in conjunction with the Beckley Foundation. Tell me about that. A: It's a fascinating drug. In the 1950s and '60s it was going to solve the world's problems. The National Institute of Health in America funded 140 separate studies. Then as soon as it started being used recreationally, it suddenly got banned. We decided it was time to bite the bullet and do the first brain imaging study of LSD. Q: You were quite literally looking at, "This is your brain on drugs." What is our brain on this particular drug? A: Our brains are trained over decades to do things exactly the same way every day, every hour, every minute, every second. Those structures we thought were hardwired, but it turns out they're not hardwired. They can be disrupted by LSD. We think that explains why afterwards, people often feel different, and better, because the brain's been allowed to work in a slightly different way for the first time. Q: What is the application of that? A: It helps us make sense of why drugs like LSD can change the way people behave in the long term. The founder of [Alcoholics Anonymous], Bill Wilson, became a profound enthusiast for LSD. It works. People are much less likely to relapse back to drinking after they've had a psychedelic experience, because they can see there's a world out there which isn't all about the bottle. Q: Do your brain scans offer any clue as to why psychedelics seem to offer some relief to those with conditions like depression and PTSD? A: Psychiatric disorders exist because people cannot disengage. Depressed people keep thinking negative thoughts: "I made a mistake. I was a bad person." People with PTSD can't disengage from the memory and over time, those circuits in the brain become completely self-determining. They just go on and on and on, even if the person wants to stop them. I think the disruption of circuits, the breaking down of these regimented silos of function of the brain by psychedelics, can help people escape from those underlying disorders. Q: Some critics might think, "Why study psychedelics? We have pharmaceuticals that are designed to treat these disorders." A: The truth is, half of all people who are treated with antidepressants don't respond to the first dose. There are people who never respond. Disorders like alcoholism—response rates are like 10 percent, not 80 percent. So there's a huge unmet need. Q: Are there any policy changes that would enable us to proceed even more quickly? A: Oh yes: We've got to change the regulations. These drugs are all stuck in what's called Schedule I under the U.N. Conventions. We've got to get them in a schedule that allows scientists to work with them without being treated as if they're criminals. Q: How would you envision these types of drugs being integrated into health care? A: These drugs are not drugs you take every day to hold at bay your depression or your anxiety. These are drugs you use with a psychotherapist to change the way you deal with life. So I see them as being enormously powerful ways of bringing psychotherapy and medicine together.

Posting here to:

1. not clutter up the Q thread
2. have a visual reference for Reddit post

This is my long winded attempt to explain the Publius Enigma riddle

In short:

Pink Floyd is referencing a lost high civilization (perhaps multiple that were cyclically destroyed by cataclysm).

Surviving remnants from each cycle is passed down as best it can be. Those that "remember" have the choice to use this knowledge for good or evil...

I argue that a large body of Pink Floyd's work is a lament directed to those that abuse the immense power/privilege they have been granted by birthright.

I am posting this now as I feel we are on the precipice of a major shift away from this abusive mindest. It is starting on the political level, but will likely impact every facet of our being. Much of what we accept as facts are lies. A new day is nearing. I wanted to put this information out there for those with "eyes to see".

Publius Enigma

This is the internet riddle regarding the album the Division Bell (album art is to the left as my avatar). The band gave vague answers regarding it. They did mention an intelligence community asset (see below) possibly designing the riddle (which remains unsolved to this day).

Publius was also a pen name used by the authors of the Federalists Papers...

quote:

The Publius Enigma is an Internet phenomenon (and potentially an unsolved problem) that began with cryptic messages posted by a user identifying only as "Publius" to the unmoderated Usenet newsgroup alt.music.pink-floyd through the Penet remailer, a now defunct anonymous information exchange service.[1] The messenger proposed a riddle in connection with the 1994 Pink Floyd album The Division Bell, promising that the answer would lead to a reward.[2] Pink Floyd's lead singer, David Gilmour, denied any involvement[3] while album artist Storm Thorgerson was bemused by the ordeal.[4] Drummer Nick Mason claimed that EMI Records were ultimately responsible.[5] It remains unclear if the enigma involves a genuinely solvable puzzle as part of an early Internet-based contest or was a convoluted hoax engineered in part by the band's management.[6] Regardless, the mystery continues to attract a small but loyal cult following.

quote:

My friends, You have heard the message Pink Floyd has delivered, but have you listened? Perhaps I can be your guide, but I will not solve the enigma for you. All of you must open your minds and communicate with each other, as this is the only way the answers can be revealed. I may help you, but only if obstacles arise. Listen. Read. Think. Communicate. If I don't promise you the answers would you go. Publius

quote:

AS SOME OF YOU HAVE SUSPECTED, "The Division Bell" is not like its predecessors. Although all great music is subject to multiple interpretations, in this case there is a central purpose and a designed solution. For the ingenious person (or group of persons) who recognizes this - and where this information points to - a unique prize has been secreted. How and Where? The Division Bell Listen again Look again As your thoughts will steer you Leading the blind while I stared out the steel in your eyes. Lyrics, artwork and music will take you there

Notice the use of the words:

not like its predecessors...
secret...

quote:

Nick: That was a ploy done by EMI. They had a man working for them who adored puzzles. He used to work for the Reagan administration [laughter from the crowd, but he was being 100% serious!]. His job then would be to be in meetings with the president and when Reagan would say “Let’s bomb these people” he would say “That’s not a good idea sir!”. He was working for EMI and suggested that a puzzle be created that could be followed on the Web.

The prize [I guess there was really one!] was never given out. To this day it remains unresolved. The prize was something like a crop of trees planted in a clear cut area of forest or something to that effect. It was not to be a prize of some tangible thing [such as a ride in the blimp or a front row seat at Earls Court] but rather a touchy-feely sort of gift that was more of a philanthropic thing than something you could hang on the wall. [I mentioned that the words were displayed on the lights at the Meadowlands gig] We, of course, could not see that from where we stood but clearly members of the crew were in on the riddle. He then confirmed that the 3 band members had NOTHING to do with it, but were aware of it and really didn’t care about it and that the whole this has been dead for years with nobody at EMI left to care about it.

quote:

The comments made by Mason corroborate parts of a previous interview by Sean Heisler with Marc Brickman, Pink Floyd's lighting and production designer and the man apparently responsible for putting the "ENIGMA PUBLIUS" message in the lights at the New Jersey concert. "...I think it really came and out of though - it came out of some guy of Washington DC, that used to be with the CIA or FBI or something that was in the encryption game. He decided he wanted to do some kind of album cover, and he started talking to Steve O'Rourke, and I think what happened was Steve O'Rourke had in his brilliant mind that he was going to try something on the internet because he had been listening to me. And he got this guy, cause if you notice a lot of this stuff can't be traced where it comes from. And I know that Dave for one thing didn't even know how to sign on."[6] Brickman later expressed regret regarding his comments: "i know that sean and the other people were persistent, so i spoke, but really regret saying the things i said in the interview.. if the enigma got people to talk and discuss then it is a good thing, but honestly, i had no part of the matter..."[14] Author Douglas Adams, who was responsible for giving The Division Bell its title,[15] was also questioned during an Internet chat session in 2001. "Question-from James Heaver > Is the publius enigma real? Douglas Adams > It has nothing to do with me - I can't say anything about it."[16]

Adams was very tight with David Gilmour (guitar/vocals)

Background on cataclysms (as it pertains to the discussion to follow)

(HLI background needed to understand).

I have 2 very large threads at the site below:

HLI

quote:

Overview/Big Themes:

1.Our understanding of ancient history is not accurate
2.His group has impacted human development /advancement in the past
3. The old world order has never gone away. The new world order does not exist (it is the old word order desperately clinging to power). The new boss is the old boss…
4. The reprehensible actions (think pizza gate, drug running) of our government and agencies are actually part of blackmail rings arranged to ensure that order is maintained /balance in the systems and members/players therein
5. There are opposing factions of elites that disagree on how to run things/ share knowledge/resources. Most of the factions have always believed in preserving a knowledge gap. His (HLI) group (which he refers to as 3) is opposed to that.
6. Meme Magic/ 100th Monkey Effect
7. Major technologies are being withheld/ignored to maintain the current status quo
8. Major breakthroughs (in medicine/biotech/life extension) are being held back so as not to completely collapse society (until appropriate technological/political base can be established)
9. He shares an overwhelmingly amazing outlook for mankind. He appears to have a “cannot lose at this point” mindset…

HLI also argued that mankind was impacted by a cataclysm (comet impact) which altered the developement of civilization / disrupted conciousness.

This dove tails nicely into a control system (Saturn Moon Matrix)

This image represents trinities, the breakdown of the bicameral mind and lost civilizations.

The 2 statues in the image of Easter Island idols/moai (lost civilization) face one another and can be viewed as representing the left and right hemisphere of the brain. These appear linked at the level of the mouth (speech). They also can be viewed as 2 faces that oppose each other or a third face that can be formed by viewing 2 faces as 1 face (trinity). The building in the background of the image at the level of the mouth is the Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Ely

Speech, Communication and Trinity

quote:

This gesture, in which his first two fingers and his thumb are extended and his third and fourth finger are closed, is among the most frequently occurring of Christ's hand gestures in Christian art. It emerged as a sign of benediction (or blessing) in early Christian and Byzantine art, and its use continued through the Medieval period, and into the Renaissance. The sign is most frequently seen in iconographic images of Christ, which appeared in churches in the Early Byzantine and Medieval periods in the form of mosaics, stained glass windows, relief sculptures, and paintings. One of the most common of such images is the Christ Pantocrator (or Christ Almighty), which depicts Christ, usually isolated against a golden background, with his head encircled by a halo, his left arm hugging the gospels to his chest and his right hand raised in the sign of benediction. It is important to note that this gesture is always made with the right hand, as this is the hand with which one blesses, according to Christian doctrine. The sign was originally derived from a symbol used in Roman art to indicate speaking, and first gained popularity as a Christian symbol shortly after Constantine's issue of the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, allowing Christians to practice their religion freely, without the threat of persecution. Indeed, Constantine himself converted to Christianity, and Christian art flourished. In early images of Christ, one can see an early manifestation of the sign of benediction in which the thumb is closed over the palm, rather than open. As Christian art evolved, symbols, including Christ's hand gestures, took on deeper significance. With the thumb opened, the three open digits came to represent the Trinity (The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), while the two closed represented the dual nature of Christ as both man and God. When the Church split early in the second century AD, the symbol for blessing used by the two newly-formed churches likewise split. The Greek Orthodox church began to make use of a symbol derived from a common abbreviation of the Greek version of Christ's name. In this manifestation of the sign of blessing, the first finger is held erect, representing an 'I'; the second is bent in the shape of a 'C'; the thumb and third finger cross to form an 'X'; and the pinky, like the second finger, curves into a 'C'. Thus, the five digits together spell out "IC XC" an abbreviation of the Greek name of Jesus Christ, taken from the first and last letters of both parts of his name. The Roman Catholic Church, meanwhile, maintained the use of the three open digits and two closed (now so familiar to Westerners). The early sign, in which the thumb is closed, had by this time faded almost completely. With the onset of the Renaissance in Western Europe, the sign of benediction became less common in Christian art, due primarily to the shift away from iconographic images of Christ-as-Savior towards more naturalistic depictions, emphasizing the human in Christ over the God. Unlike the highly stylized, reverence-inspiring images of old, Renaissance art presented a more realistic image of Christ as he would have appeared to those who saw him in the flesh. He was more likely to be painted in the humiliation of betrayal, or the agony of death, than in the glory of Christ Pantocrator. Still, the gesture does occasionally appear; though void of the characteristic rigidity of earlier icons, it takes on a rather casual feel, more akin to a guy flashing a "peace" sign than to The Savior bestowing his blessing.

I am going to reference older Pink Floyd works before focusing on The Division Bell (as much of their work is intertwined)

An open letter to a critic on the matter of chevrons, megatsunamis and bolide impacts.
by Randall Carlson

quote:

I am addressing this response to one issue raised regarding remarks about possible mega-tsunami deposits that I brought up during the podcast. It is my impression after investing a fair amount of time researching this phenomenon that it warrants serious consideration, especially in light of what we have witnessed during the past decade, two tsunami induced mega-disasters in Japan and the Indian Ocean. Several comments were particularly dismissive, so I am setting down this small exposition, without malice, to demonstrate that the remarks made on The Joe Rogan Experience were preceded by a substantial amount of background research and thought. While the following remarks pertain to this one issue specifically, they are also relevant to the general attitude evinced in many of the other comments critical of something I said that are obviously being made by individuals whose preconceived opinions were incompatible with the information I presented and their objections were nothing more than a knee jerk emotional response rather than a reasoned critique with some actual thought behind it.

Chevron forms created on a stream sandbar by local spring floods in Georgia, USA. The significant point is that these forms were produced by flowing water, not wind. After the flood subsides and the sand deposits dry out they will become subject to wind erosion and modification until they are stabilized by vegetation.

Chevron forms found on the southern tip of Madagascar. Were these formations created by wind or water? If the chevrons are formed of fine-grained wind transported sediment why is the line of demarcation at the distal end so distinct? What kind of aeolian process would produce features of this form and magnitude? The light colored deposits near the upper end of the chevrons are sand. This sand is undoubtedly being modified by wind, but this does not mean that the whole complex of lancet-like forms composing the chevrons were originally created by wind.

For scale...

---

Small scale parabolic dune forms and hummocky topography produced by local flooding in Peachtree Creek, GA are clearly visible in this photograph. The open end of the parabola seen in the top center points in the up-current direction which was from right to left. Again, these sedimentary forms are initially produced by flowing water and later modified by wind.

Large scale parabolic dune forms on the Rolling Palouse landscape of SE Washington State. Note the large parabolic shaped dune in the foreground. It opens upcurrent, flow was from right to left (north to south). Compare the general morphology of this landscape with the water shaped forms in the previous photograph. This landscape is the product of wind AND water. A study of mega-scale paleohydrology reveals the scale-invariant, or self-similar nature of fluvial forms across a wide variety of spatial scales and signifies its value as a means of comparison and recognition of mega features whose origins it is not possible to witness directly.

Summary:

-comet impact on North American icecap, images above (cooling was the existing paradigm prior to this)
-massive, cataclysmic flooding (see Washington state photo above)
-sea levels rise, massive amount of water vapor injected into the atmophere leading to a greenhouse effect/ rapid warming

Multiple impacts of varying scale have occurred leading to cyclical change....

While this knowledge is, at present, within the purview of a small but growing number of catastrophist geologists, astronomers, and other scientists, it has fallen completely by the wayside in the public discourse. For the present time politics dominates the discussion of global change, and there is a powerful political incentive to direct the discussion towards anthropogenic forcing to the exclusion of natural forces of change, for human behavior is subject to political control and natural forces of global change are not.

"Echoes"

Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant tide
Comes willowing across the sand

And everything is green and submarine

And no one showed us to the land
And no one knows the wheres or whys
But something stirs and something tries
And starts to climb towards the light

Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand the best I can
And no one calls us to move on
And no one forces down our eyes
No one speaks
And no one tries
No one flies around the sun

Cloudless every day you fall upon my waking eyes
Inviting and inciting me to rise
And through the window in the wall
Come streaming in on sunlight wings
A million bright ambassadors of morning

And no one sings me lullabies
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky.

The song Echoes is found on the album "Meddle". Below is album art (cover)

Pink Floyd was composed of guys from around Cambridge, England. Some had prominent families (Gilmour's dad was a professor at Cambridge).

Below is from an interview with the band:

quote:

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii

00:53:48 We're all from the British aristocracy, except David Gilmour.

And yes, they recorded an unattended gig at Pompeii...

I will return to these themes, but pay attention to the last image as cycles will become important...

Pompeii = a civilization lost to cataclysm
Pyramids = vestiges of a lost civilization

With above said (referencing HLI thread)

There was a lost civilization that was destroyed by massive flood /cataclysm (Graham Hancock/Randall Carslon work) by an asteroid / comet impact 12,800 years ago (Comet Research Group)

On the right side of the image above is a series of oval eggs and an out of place rock (farthest right). Above that rock is a "upside down" submerged person. Above that is the Great Pyrimiad (vestige of an ancient culture steeped in mystery)

Consciousness was lost and regained by humans (Julian Jaynes work: Origins of Conciousness)

A small subset of humans were endowed with this knowledge and were able to pass this knowledge down (mystery schools/families/bloodlines). These early humans became the ruling elites of society.

Jesus was a historically controversial figure because he was not "born" into this ruling elite, but attained consciousness none the less (virgin birth...) and was able to effectively accrue a following in part due to his masterful uses of metaphors. Religion was the vehicle at that time to pass down message to the masses.

The contemporary center of elites is London/Cambridge/Oxford (strangely enough this is where David Gilmour grew up and was educated (ditto for Bill Clinton as a Rhodes Scholar))

The more contemporary way to pass down messages to the masses would have been plays, music and now mass/social media. In Pink Floyd's time, the airwaves were arguably the most popular method of communication.

In my opinion, the answer to the riddle of Publius Enigma is that speech/communication/metaphors/human interactions have guided development of the human species. There are factions of people who are privy to passed down wisdom that few are ever made aware of (and how to manipulate this for good or evil purposes). This occurs in the background of cyclical catalclysms that destroy most civilzations with the remainders left to pass on knowledge/technology.

I think Gilmour is trying to clue people into these mysteries (and his intentions are good). More importantly, the album and Publius Enigma refer to collective knowledge / awakening to this. I view this as collective consciousness manipulated for good. This would fulfill the "2nd coming of Christ" prophecy. "Christ" refers to fully conscious individual for the betterment of mankind as a whole. The "anti-Christ" can be thought of as forces that suppress consciousness / growth of the person /species for nefarious purposes (see the post to follow about DSOM and cautions about life). Technology / modernity can be viewed as "anti-Christ". Our society is massively distracted by things that in large part do not matter. Consumerism and technology conspire against us in their current forms (we are more connected via electronic media than ever, but in many ways are disconnected as humans). The elites control this very effectively (mass media) to further divide people.

On this album:

Signs of Life

When the child like view of the world went, nothing replaced it...nothing replaced it...nothing replaced it...
I do not like being asked to.....I do not like being asked to... I do not like being asked to....

Other people replaced it
Someone who knows

"A New Machine - Part I"

I have always been here
I have always looked out from behind the eyes
It feels like more than a lifetime
Feels like more than a lifetime
Sometimes I get tired of the waiting
Sometimes I get tired of being in here
Is this the way it has always been?
Could it ever have been different?
Do you ever get tired of the waiting?
Do you ever get tired of being in there?
Don't worry, nobody lives forever,
Nobody lives forever

"A New Machine - Part II"

I will always be in here
I will always look out from behind these eyes

It's only a lifetime
It's only a lifetime
It's only a lifetime

The Meaning of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon

quote:

Dark Side of the Moon has endured through the years because it is such a well written and thought out concept album. A concept album is an album where all (or most) of the songs on that album revolve around a story or a theme. This is a contrast to most studio albums which just lay out a series of songs that are often unconnected or unrelated with the exception of the fact that they are on the same album.

quote:

So what is the meaning of Dark Side of the Moon?

Dark Side of the Moon is a concept album that discusses the philosophical and physical ideas that can lead to a person's insanity, and ultimately an unfulfilled life.

The album is a cautionary tale in two parts, the first half describes living a life that goes unfulfilled. This part of the album consists of the following tracks:

Speak To Me/Breathe
On The Run
Time/Breathe Reprise
Great Gig In The Sky

The second half of the album consists of individual songs about different ideas and concepts that are detrimental to society and can lead to madness. These songs are:

Money
Us and Them
A color You Like
Brain Damage
Eclipse

The philosophical ideas in the second half of the album are a sort of madness in their own right. They are also the root causes to the problem mentioned in the first half of the album that focuses on living an unfulfilled life.

quote:

Brain Damage

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! Hahaha!

What do you think they were referencing???

Blatant commentary on the influence of media/ "society"

quote:

Brain Damage

Brain Damage is about losing your mind and going insane.

The first verse talks about insanity that is caused by happening what's outside your head, with the line,"The lunatic is in the grass." This would be the type of insanity that people see in the physical world, it's a type of tangible insanity.

The second verse continues in this vain, but brings the insanity into a more personal area with the lines, "The lunatic is in my hall." The lyrics have moved insanity from the outer and wider world in the first verse to the private home of the person in the second verse. This type of insanity is a bit more personal and it sounds a lot more disconcerting.

The first chorus talks about finally having a mental breakdown, potentially much earlier than a person should have a breakdown. After the mental breakdown, the final line of the chorus says, "I'll see you on the dark side of the moon." The dark side of the moon mentioned in this song is a place for insanity and ideas that are destructive. Of course since the moon is always dark, its also suggesting everyone to a certain point is mad.

The final verse now moves insanity to its most personal location, inside your head with the line, "The lunatic is in my head." The verse suggests that the person who is losing his mind will pay any price in order to make him/her sane again, and subsequently they will isolate themselves in order to stop any further destruction of themselves or others.

The final chorus again elaborates on having a mental breakdown. With the line, "And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes... I'll see you on the dark side of the moon," it would appear that the madness was caused by not being able to align your views with the views of everyone else, or most likely society in general. Ultimately that line in the song seems to suggest that people go crazy by resisting what they are told to do all of the time.

However, on the previous songs in the album, Money, Us and Them, and Any Color You Like discuss the ideas that everyone in society go along with that are insane. From a larger perspective it seems you are insane by following the ideas discussed in Money, Us and Them, and Any Color You Like, or you go insane by resisting them like in Brain Damage.

quote:

It's a metaphor for darkness, the darkness (or different ideas) that can destroy all of the positive emotions and ideas that are a part of humanity. In effect the darkness represents insanity. But like in reality the light portrayed by the moon is really an illusion. So it would appear that the album, which seems to take the dark side of the moon concept to heart is suggesting, is that everyone on some level is insane or will have to deal with madness.

Dark Side of the Moon seems to specifically suggest that there are two types of insanity. The first type of insanity mentioned on the album suggests people go insane by riding the tide. Or specifically speaking, people are insane for doing what they're told all of the time and just accepting life for what it is.

The second type of insanity mentioned on the album suggests that the people that don't ride the tide realize that the people riding the tide are insane. In turn their efforts to try to convince people not to ride the tide, or their resistance to the tide itself causes them to go insane.

These themes are similar to Plato's allegory of the cave

On a deeper, subconscious level (reference album sales/ popularity) we know this to be truth

With that background, I present the album artwork for "The Divison Bell"

View this through the lens of the prior info presented

View the lyrics as a lament of PF towards the ruling elite who have abused the immense privelege of power that was bestowed onto them (through passed down knowledge/birthright)...

Pay attention to the themes of:

control
manipulation
speech/communication
change

quote:

In parliamentary procedure, a division of the assembly, division of the house, or simply division is a method for taking a better estimate of a vote than a voice vote.[1] Typically, a division is taken when the result of a voice vote is challenged or when a two-thirds vote is required.[2]

A division is also called a rising vote, where members stand up from their seats.[1] According to Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR), the numbers for and against are not counted in a division.[2] However, they may be counted by order of the chairman or by order of the assembly through majority vote.[3] The assembly may also have a rule that the division is counted.

Historically, and often still today, members are literally divided into physically separate groups.[1] This was the method used in the Roman Senate, and occasionally in Athenian democracy. Westminster system parliament chambers have separate division lobbies for the "Ayes" and "Noes" to facilitate physical division. In several assemblies, a division bell is rung throughout the building when a division is happening, in order to alert members not present in the chamber.

Addressing those in control...

quote:

You can have anything you want
You can drift, you can dream, even walk on water
Anything you want

You can own everything you see
Sell your soul for complete control
Is that really what you need

You can lose yourself this night
See inside there is nothing to hide
Turn and face the light

What do you want from me

Polarity...

quote:

Did you know...it was all going to go so wrong for you
And did you see it was all going to be so right for me
Why did we tell you then
You were always the golden boy then
And that you'd never lose that light in your eyes

quote:

Hey you...did you ever realize what you'd become

PF is referencing it's own work from "The Wall"

quote:

"Hey You"

Hey, you!
Out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old.
Can you feel me?

Hey, you!
Standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles.
Can you feel me?

Hey, you!
Don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.

Hey, you!
Out there on your own
Sitting naked by the phone.
Would you touch me?

Hey, you!
With your ear against the wall
Waiting for someone to call out.
Would you touch me?

Hey, you!
Would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home

But it was only fantasy.
The wall was too high as you can see.
No matter how he tried he could not break free.
And the worms ate into his brain.

Hey, you!
Out there on the road,
Always doing what you're told.
Can you help me?

Hey, you!
Out there beyond the wall,
Breaking bottles in the hall.
Can you help me?

Hey, you!
Don't tell me there's no hope at all.
Together we stand,
Divided we fall.

Marooned in a "system"...
The official video to this song references space/heaven and a city lost to cataclysm (Chernobyl)

This is referencing the fall of the Berlin Wall, but pay attention

quote:

On the day the wall came down
They threw the locks onto the ground
And with glasses high we raised a cry for freedom had arrived
On the day the wall came down
The Ship of Fools had finally ran aground
Promises lit up the night like paper doves in flight

False sense of freedom/liberation...

As the song continues...

quote:

Now life devalues day by day
As friends and neighbors turn away
And there's a change that, even with regret, cannot be undone
Now frontiers shift like desert sands
While nations wash their bloodied hands
Of loyalty, of history, in shades of grey
