Federal Court. Jody Owens pleaded guilty. Sentence not announced.

It would probably be easier to put all Hinds County officials in jail and then just release the couple who are found to not be corrupt.

Hinds County houses a community college north of Jackson. The new campus and dorms are in Rankin County. They house the nursing school, as well as all the trade classes, electrical, plumping, etc. During my sons orientation we went to the Hinds main campus. Nice folks, but you could tell that everyone working there was just vacuuming a check. Race wasn't even a factor. Everyone just existed.
