Funny, if it actually happened. I suspect it was a typical staged YouTube thing.
I doubt that anyone actually dug-up their lawn to lay a hotwire to the sign. Without the correct (heavily-insulated) wire, it would have grounded out anyway (I have stretched many a hotwire across a pasture), especially with the metal legs of the sign in the ground. The guy did not grab the metal part of the sign, but rather the plasticized paper.
But still entertaining. Just suspend disbelief and chuckle.

Notice how they show hostility as they use physical action to suppress the dissident. THEN after the totalitarian act is completed, they show glee and gladness.
