The deputy on the passenger side (female) was shot twice in the face with two rounds traveling through her jaw. Her partner was shot in the forehead and multiple times in his right arm. The female deputy, despite being shot twice in the face, was able to radio for help, coordinate a strategic response, remove herself and her partner from the vehicle, find cover, and apply a tourniquet to her partner’s right arm.
Both deputies are still listed as serious, but stable condition.
