I'm at a photonics conference in San Francisco this week. One of the engineers with me has been wearing a cloth mask all week. Yesterday, as we were leaving, he used a table drape to cover up the items on a table, instead of removing and locking in the hard cases below the table. I laughed and commented, "Good! That tablecloth should make those items as secure and safe as that cloth mask makes you from Covid." and walked away.
I just showed up at our booth and he had put everything in the locked cases after I left, yesterday.

This is maybe the cringiest thing I have ever seen. I used to kind of like Colbert and Kimmel. It's strange seeing them morph into propagandists.

Hey, I may be in Nashville in April for the Army Aviation conference. If I go, I'll try to reach you and we can meet for a coffee and catch up. I have a busy 2 months coming up; that conference in Nashville, one in Hawaii, one in Las Vegas, one in Tampa and one in Orlando.

I'm hesitant to admit this but you know how some people have an uneasy feeling around clowns? I think I have a similar feeling around people who wear masks

lets make it happen. my wife makes a mean cup of coffee at her food truck and its free. you might even get a sandwich out of the deal too.
we'll be doing spring break stuff doing march but april is clear.
