Is this a loophole for straight people to have plastic surgery done? If you are feeling dysmorphic in your body. Your breasts are too small and you dont feel l like a "real" woman. Your nose is not what its meant to be. etc.

What are the restrictions on this?

After some consideration I've come to the conclusion that my penis would be much more convenient placed in the middle of my chin...just say'in.

No. Insurance covers what they want to cover.

But I’m not sure what’s worse, that or calling it “insurance.”

The Blue I work for doesn't cover things like lasik or male impotency treatment but they will cover laser hair removal for trans. Actually, a few of things that wouldn't be covered normally are being changed to be allowed as long as they have a trans diagnosis.

trans diagnosis

it's only fair that those things be covered by insurance, given the extensive, painstaking, scientific process to render this diagnosis: from DNA testing and clinical analysis, to the advanced imaging, complex battery of physiological assays and genealogical studies.

Oh, wait, none of that exists, you're telling me? It's just a man saying, "I feel like a woman." Or a woman saying, "I wanna be a man."

Hmmmm, nah, let 'em have it.
