If tweet fails to load, click here. After 47's meeting with President Xi, China wants to buy AMERICAN ENERGY and OIL, and agrees Iran must be banned from EVER having a nuclear weapon
Let's go! ??
China wants to be LESS reliant on the Strait of Hormuz — and OPPOSES Iran tolling the waterway
And they're preparing to open up their markets
WHITE HOUSE:
“The two sides discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between our two countries, including expanding market access for American businesses into China and increasing Chinese investment into our industries."
"The two sides agreed that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open to support the free flow of energy. President Xi also made clear China’s opposition to the militarization of the Strait and any effort to charge a toll for its use, and he expressed interest in purchasing more American oil to reduce China’s dependence on the Strait in the future. Both countries agreed that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.”

China should stop selling the raw materials for rockets to Iran and for fentanyl to Mexican cartels.

The big takeaway is the US should be careful with regards to Taiwan and not test China there…
They are buying control of Taiwan.
They are buying control of Taiwan.

Just don't touch the Philippines. Need a backup plan if I ever get divorced.

Philippines is a good option for you there.
But I’m not advocating selling out Taiwan to China for their semiconductors. So I hope the US is smart about it.

Then why hasn’t China put pressure on Iran to reopen the strait? It seems like we’re the only country in the world that cares.

I don’t think they can. My guess is we killed most of the contacts they were dealing with before shooting started and now they have no reliable communications since Iran is fractured

True. Maybe so, but there’s got to be other ways they could show goodwill and help out in reopening the strait.

China is not stupid. They saw a move to become #1 and they moved on it. They partnered with Iran and Russia and Venezuela etc. That door has been slammed shut for now and china never had strong ties to these countries anyway. It was simply in their best interest.
China would be wise to put those plans on hold for 100 years or so and play ball with the US. Nobody expects them to never again make a play for #1 but we all need to wait and see how the AI/drone/robot thing plays out. At the moment we are still top dog. Hopefully we will still be top dog in 100 years.
It’s genuinely brilliant of Trump to secure as partnerships with as many resource rich countries as possible right now. If partnership is out of the question, well then we see what happens to belligerent donkey fricking countries.

Preventing a $25 Billion US arms sale to Taiwan would be a win for Xi. That’s Taiwan’s approved defense budget.
$11 Billion in arms sales has already been approved by Congress, while another $14 Billion is still pending, after being delayed by Trump prior to this meeting.
That’s what Xi’s red carpet towards Trump is for, to influence Trump to cancel the arms deal.

Nobody gives a shite about Taiwan. Once we have large scale operational chip manufacturing here at home and largely dispersed around the world, the Chinese can have Taiwan back.
