James Lindsay has been suggesting it's an attempt to end up with what he has coined "Drag Floyd."
Continue to make it more egregious all the time, and eventually they'll bait someone into being actually violent. and then all hell can break lose because of "all the right wing violence," and even more rules and restrictions can be imposed on everyone.
It makes sense. Keep pushing, and if no push back you gain ground. With push back, you can claim victim status.

Though it is utter bullshite, they argue that it is to normalize the behavior for all those poor kids that feel left out like they did as children. They could care less about anyone that doesn't think the way they do because everyone else is mentally ill and they are the normies.
