I'm just 3 episodes in and it's depressing how crooked our criminal justice system can be at times.

And even more depressing is the dumb jurors that fall for it. Obviously these are outlier events they cover in the series but these are pretty obvious examples of people in prison that don't belong there based on the evidence

The issue I have with our system is money gets you out. Lawyers hold far to much weight now, as does money. I don't know a better system, but the system we have now should get an overhaul. I mean most people never see a real trial. People plead guilty because of threats of extreme sentences.

Sure. That's a valid complaint. But it's just one of many complaints. The criminal justice system in this country is corrupt to the core.

“Has anyone watched X on Netflix”

You lost me at “Netflix”

You and everyone else should delete Netflix. When it comes to thought control they are one of the leaders. Their “Documentaries” are garbage and the shows are pure trash.

Fify.

All of our institutions are corrupted. We almost need a complete reset. The media is a joke. You’ve already addressed the CJ system. I bet 90% of Congress is bought and paid for. Big banks, pharma, tech and other corporations cheat through crony capitalism. Our judges are politicians in robes and vote for their team. It’s disgusting

And 90% of the millions who watch it will extrapolate it to all cases. Netflix has mad propaganda game.

I think the majority of people can recognize that these aren't typical events

I'm not sure why you think you're part of the upper 10% but it doesn't appear that you are

How is Netflix any different from standard cable television or YouTube?

Should we all just act like triggered pussies and boycott arbitrary things out of fear that they wield some unmeasurable amount of control over our society?

Most watch television for entertainment and are intelligent enough to laugh at or move on from obviously political material.

Lawyers hold too much power? How so?

Most people never see a trial because that's how it must be. The system couldn't function otherwise.

. The criminal justice system in this country is corrupt to the core.

It too often doesnt feel like innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Overworked and underpaid public defenders who usually dont have access to their own expert witnesses to rebut those usually available to to the govt, prosecutors are pushed to have a jury trial once per month and their choice of cases to bring to trial is more often than not an easy indigent defendant case, overcharging in order to scare defendant into taking the bird in the hand even if he/she has a decent trial case, LEO witnesses who tend to believe that the ends justify the means thus a little corner cut here or there is just part of "getting this criminal off the streets, etc.

Granted, there are many prosecutors that shoot you straight and will decline to take advantage of something even if the defense atty hasnt noticed and such.

But when you are in it and you know there's some rotten stuff going on and you cant do anything about it....it makes one wonder how often that type thing happens.

This is a good thing, to you? A prosecutor who willfully doesn't take advantage of overlooked information in an attempt to get a conviction should be disbarred.

Well when you state that 90% of people are complete morons that's a bit excessive. Had you said 60% then I might be on board with you. 90% is a dumb fricking number to throw out there. So dumb that you'd certainly not qualify for the top 10%. Sometimes the truth isn't nice.

Why watch anything at all. Why would you waste your life watching a box supporting talentless assclowns and watching overpaid people make faces at each other for hours on end.

Go outside, work on your house, plant a garden, go fish, improve yourself, or do a million other things instead of sitting on your arse and watching a fake world.

God gave you one life, and you certainly have the right to choose to sit there and be a complacent couch turd, but why? The world around you is plenty interesting, your family / friends are interesting. Go live.
