Have been anxiously anticipating this day to be taken on as a cause célèbre by the Left of all stripes and shades.

If the morning news is any indication at all, it promises to be a banner, "celebratory" day for them, along with a real study in the most effective use of propaganda.

First, the local feed WWL for CBS morning news had Debra Rodriguez leading off this marvelous day with the headline:

"One year ago today, pro-Trump rioters stormed the Capitol."

Then an in-depth review of how those innocent Capitol workers had to be moved to other areas of the complex through tunnels to save them from the insurrectionists.

But curiously, unlike right after the event, there was not a word today from Missy Debra about any deaths that took place that day.

Because all the ones they tried to hang on the "rioters" turned out to be wishful thinking on the Left's part.

Plus, naturally they couldn't rehash over, or even mention in passing the death of another white woman at the hands of a black male, with absolutely no accountability to follow.

It just didn't complement and support the propaganda festival the entire media is about to embark on.

Didn't hear this morning's Breakfast Club or Black Information Network from WBOK and WYLD, but didn't need to.

How much more could they focus on and ramp up the hysteria and feigned outrage over Jan. 6th than they've done already.

After that contrived, carefully crafted skit was over, the news slouched to local when the yokels with Cohen took it upon themselves and obviously thought it to be the appropriate day to remind us - again - that Robert E. Lee Blvd will be renamed Allen Toussaint.

No word as yet if it will retain "boulevard" or it will be followed by "path" or "trail."

Then it was all compounded with having to hear the irritating voice of Southern scalawag extraordinaire Clancy Dubos who again spoke to us as though he were speaking to children to remind us of the commendable social awareness of our Council - and how they have "every right" to change any street names they want.

Only disagreement from here is that they have chosen the wrong "Toussaint."

Most fitting for where this city is headed, along with the expanding current ethos/attitude, would be to rename the street after Toussaint L'Ouverture - if they can remember how to spell it long enough to get it up on the street signs.

The historical context would be much more apropos, after all he drove the whites out of Haiti, and we have seen how that island has thrived as a result.

But scalawag Dubos sounded absolutely giddy with anticipation at just the prospect of changing the names all across Orleans.

It almost matched the giddiness and barely repressed euphoria of the other local one here Eric Asher - Sports and Current events Commentator - when he was anxiously anticipating that those CSA monuments were about to be "stormed" and taken down not that long ago.

Why don't the Admin...Junta quit the dance and do what it gives every indication it would like to, and make Jan. 6th a national holiday for Leftists.

In other much more useful, relevant news on this day of celebration, introspection, and remembrance:

In Australia a very large Coconut crab crawled into a golf bag and broke the handle on one of the clubs with its very powerful claw.

Also, for what ever reason, one more threat that is on the rise for golfers on the courses there is from crocodiles.

This is in addition to dealing with such deadly reptiles as King Browns, Death Adders, and Taipans.

But the most curious, revealing early news was from America's News in the Morning which started off this glorious day having to do with what's actually running this nation presently.

It was from Pete Moreci, Professor of Economics and Business at the University of Maryland.

He spoke of problems with the oncoming inflation, and how in this case it will not be as much from the printing of more money as it will be from the difficulties expected in the actual access to the money supply.

He actually dared make mention of the supply chain difficulties this regime is having and that it can also be expected with the money supply.

His short term answer was of course to raise the interest rates. He specifically mentioned bonds.

But most telling of all that during his report, he actually mentioned this regime, this nation, in the same breath with the Weimar Republic.

Have heard - although seldom - the Left mentioning Weimar to make what ever point, but never within the context or in comparison to what ever Leftist regime happened to be running the country at the time - until today.

What ever Moreci's ideological bent, no doubt he has heaped upon himself, and now can expect more than the usual "attention" and monitoring from his leftist associates at the propaganda mill, that he would dare compare this Junta running the country with the disgraced Weimar.

An exercise in futility that gave rise not only to Hitler, but eventually led to our own institutions being infiltrated and infested by neo-Marxists who decided at the time that it was prudent to get the hell out of Weimar while they were still able.

Anyway, Moreci seemed intent on throwing cold water on what is this joyous, celebratory day for the Left.

Jan. 6th could also be used to acknowledge the fantastic job that the propaganda mills and media have done over 3 generations to the West's young and unwary.
