600 rockets fired into Israel in the last 36 hours

They say it was retaliation for the "un-armed protesters" that Israel gunned down.

The "protesters" that were throwing actual bombs. I guess once you hurl the bomb, you are technically unarmed. . .but whatever.

They even blew up a hospital in Gaza accidentally, killing Palestinians.

I agree.

The world just needs to let Israel do what it has to do.

The Israelis funded and supported Hamas in the 80s.

They believed they could use the Islamists to split and weaken the Palestinians.

-

If Hamas disappeared tomorrow, something else would take their place.

The Palestinians will not accept their fate. They don’t want to live in an open air prison.

No ground will be made in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict until the neighboring Arab nations recognize Israel. Too many Arab nations implicitly support the current situation as those ruling elites use it to focus their population attention away from their regimes.

Israel just needs to stop dicking around with them and wipe them off the face of the earth.

That will not happen.

Not unless Jerusalem is divided, and Muslims control the Dome of the Rock.

Israel is fundamentally uninterested in any thing we would call peace.

They want to annex as much land as possible, containing the Palestinians into small cantons of self rule, within greater Israel. These islands, towns and villages, will not be connected to each other, and Palestinians will have limited rights to travel.

They will be prisons in many ways. Prisons they run themselves. But prisons.

They will not have citizenship, or a voice in their fate.

what Hamas really needs to worry about is the Orange Man won't be tapping on Israel's shoulder to stop - unlike every POTUS before him.

I agree.
Thats why the made up people who call themselves Palestinians will never agree to forming a legitimate state. If they were a recognized state, all their aggressions would be official acts of war, and Israel could fight it as such. As long as they play the poor oppressed victims, all actions by Israel are defensive and subdued compared to a tactical war with the end result being to win as quickly and completely as possible.

The Israelis make clever tactical decisions, but they have very poor strategic thinking.

Their support for Hamas is a good example of that. It did weaken and split the PLO - but then Hamas emerged as a real power. And they’re a far more serious opponent than the PLO ever was.

The invasion of Lebanon solved the PLO problem Israel was dealing with, but it led to the creation of Hezbullah. Which Israel has no answer to.

And in Syria, their efforts to topple the Ba’ath government failed, and the Syrians have emerged from the war much stronger than they were before.

Trump will back them all the way, sure, but they’re more than likely to pursue an ultimately self defeating strategy.

Ersatz Israel.

It’s fools gold.
