I don't know how old you are, but I hate to tell you this.

Your sentence has been written EVERY year for at least 60 years. It's always wrong for the same reason.

People grow up.

Trump can only be president 6 more years.

DO tell us who in either party can follow him and even do half as well.

The OP’s young friend doesn’t sound very sophisticated. My college aged daughter thinks AOC is nuts, but has very strong views on environmental issues, social issues and basic human compassion. She studies economics, so maybe she draws different lines than the uninformed millennial.

But I can tell you, she would be horrified by much of the right wing commentary here. She thinks it’s silly that I find this amusing.

What’s your daughters take specifically on college debt? And paying off government loans? I’m curious how far her human compassion goes. You can feel free to chime in with your own thoughts.

I haven’t spoken with her about that. She doesn’t have any debt.

I only bring it up because it’s quite the hot topic amongst millennials right now.

I graduated with a good chunk of debt.

I like discussing about it with people my age, especially those that think every penny should be forgiven by the fed gov.

It’s a big issue now because of college inflation. It took more than ten years for my wife and I to pay off our student loans. I decided that I would sacrifice some toys myself so that they don’t have college debt.

Would you feel better if Trump dropped a few billion dollars to Iran and restocked ISIS with some high tech weapons?

I intend to do the very same and make some sacrifices along the way as well. I personally despise a lot of people in my generation not wanting to take responsibility for the choice they made in regards specifically to student loans
