I am not talking about the "self-inflicted" problems (Iraq), but just shite that happened...

++++++++++++++++++++++++

China captures surveillance plane after mid-air "collision" - April 2001

9/11/01 & Afghanistan

Anthrax attacks - September 2001

Hurricanes:

Ivan - 2004
Dennis - 2005
Katrina - 2005
Rita - 2005
Gustav - 2008
Ike - 2008

Subprime Mortgage Crisis/Financial Meltdown - 2007/2008

++++++++++++++++++

That is some heavy shite and while many can find fault with the responses to all of those, gotta give the man credit for keeping his chin up.

I think history will be much more kind to Bush than we are right now.

I’m sure he’s a nice guy.

He was also a terrible president.

May take a long time to get to that point.

People will try to continue foisting blame on him for that Chicago slapdick’s horrible tenure.

Well Bush letting himself be a punching bag for the media and not defending himself made it rather easy for Obama to win

Karl Rove encouraging that behavior helped sink the whole party until 2010.

Not blaming, only pointing out that the even occurred and he was tasked with responding to it.

Massive spending
Ballooning debt
Worst financial era besides Great Depression
Weakening Constitution
Erosion of civil liberties
Katrina response
Multiple endless foreign expeditionary wars

He will be viewed as Herbert Hoover if Hoover had also weakened the Constitution and embroiled us in endless optional foreign warfare.

GW was probably the most entertaining president of my lifetime in terms of comic goofiness. He was definitely a hoot.

Trump is more entertaining in the "don't-give-a-frick" department, as well as alpha balls of steel and top-notch trolling. His ability to bait the opposition into hanging themselves at every corner they turn is both fascinating and utterly mesmerizing.

9/11 Happen

Bush decided to invade Iraq - Because they have Oil
Create the NSA - So they could eavesdrop on US citizens
Create Homeland Security - So that we could militarize our Police force
Patriot Act - so we can take more freedoms from US citizens

Bush will always be known as the 2nd worse president behind trump in US history

He took office 1/20/01. Is your argument that he was on watch (in office) or on watch (the planning, financing, etc) ? Because it took longer than 9 months to orchestrate that. To put it all on Bush is moronic.

Bush might have actually made it easier for Trump to make the libs gang themselves at every turn. They aren’t use to a republican fighting back so when it happens they take their derangement to the next level

the best thing to happen to bush was trump. But I still think Iraq and the financial crisis were such massive frick ups, they won't be so nice. But the dumpster fire that is trump helps his reputation.

Difference being we had already been attacked and knew who/where our enemies were. It wasn’t until a few weeks before 9/11 that the intelligence community figured out something might be up. Compounded by fighting an unconventional enemy that used unconventional tactics
