Her male counterparts with guns drawn should have engaged the tgt as soon as he stood up and moved toward her.
They almost got her killed.
LEOs hold to a 21 ft rule in training. That is the amount of ground an avg assailant with a knife can cover toward you before you can draw your sidearm and place two well aimed shots into the tgt.
That is the reasons cops approach with hands on weapons or weapons drawn. At close range, a person with a knife is always a lethal threat.

Meanwhile, the cops are probably about to be fired, the DA will probably prosecute in spite a grand jury declination, white kids in masks posing as BLM will riot and destroy shite, Dems will add this to some bullshite list of cases of police brutality while demanding justice by prosecuting the officers and while stoking the flames of racial division and unrest, and the city this happened will ultimately pay the family of this guy $20+ million and issue a public apology.
