But I can definitely compare it to public schools in the parish, and I can without a doubt say it’s a better education than the public schools. Much better standard test scores, ACT and SAT, college acceptance rates and graduation rates.
This doesn’t prove the quality of education.

East Baton Rouge Parish was under litigation in one of the longest federal school desegregation cases in the nation. After desegregation and school busing, somehow many private academies started to spring up in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I take it these private schools started to spring up because all of a sudden, schools that had existed for years under de jure segregation, became piss poor?
I don't agree. Some of the same people decrying how horrible the schools have become are (not ironically), the same people who fled from them in the first place. If enough people flee from something that at one time worked, what will be the quality of the schools if you place primarily poor people in them?
... and before you respond, consider that I have friends who send their children to Dunham, U High, Parkview, and Catholic.
Now, if you'd like to actually answer my comment, here's that comment, again.
Normally, vouchers act as a way to funnel money to, at best, C, D, or F private Christian schools. In Baton Rouge, I can guarantee that Dunham, Episcopal, Parkview Baptist, U High, St. Joseph's Academy, or Catholic are not accepting vouchers.
So, any retort on why Dunham, Episcopal, Parkview Baptist, U High, St. Joseph's Academy, or Catholic don't accept vouchers?

That school is smart. If the money goes to you, then maybe.....I would be comfortable if they gave you a voucher. You deposit it in your account and then you pay. But you and I KNOW that government would never allow this. They would want to track the money.

So you think kids who are physically or sexually abused, miss more than ten days of school a year, are homeless or have 7 siblings living at home can score just as well as anyone else if they go to the school you went to in Lafayette?

Theyre trying to justify the sky rocketing expense of public education, which is little more than a day prison for kids, and a job creator for low achieving women.
Its getting impossible to justify the cost of education in this country.
