‘Black owned’ usually signifies that they received grant money to start up their business vs folks who save or borrow and put their own necks on the line

So essentially tax payer money goes toward grants to ensure black owners can compete with an advantage, now big tech is trying to give those businesses another edge. America is no longer free market or free

shouldn’t be worried. Black tech? Black Fortune 500? Good luck!

I never considered avoiding black owned businesses, until this summer when I learned all black people hate me as a white male. So now I won’t spend any money at a black owned business.

I didn’t get this when I pulled up maps on my phone and the app. It might be city specific

What is this new fascination with black-owned businesses? I had no problem trading with them until now, and will avoid them like the plague.

why would you avoid a business based on the race of the owner?

Because of the racist the way it's being forced upon us would be my guess. Why is Google pointing us to black-owned businesses, but not any other race or ethnic group? What makes black people so special they need this type of preferential treatment?

So hypothetically what happens when a Karen visits one of these recommended places and is either raped and or murdered? Can her family sue google?

In most areas, this won’t go as planned.

I wish they would also have a feature for Indian owned service stations & hotels.

Maybe also one for Chinese businesses.

If a company has to advertise that they are black-owned to get business, then they most likely offer a product that's inferior to other businesses. Even if they have a decent product, I won't shop there because I'm not going to give money to racists.
