Googles definition is first followed by Webster and Dicinaory.com.

Notice any keywords in Googles?

So conservatives should just change their definition from right wing to something else.

I guess we'll go over this again. Fascism has long been considered a right-wing philosophy because they had a disdain for liberalism and communism, accepted private property, and believed in a social order and hierarchy, and traditional values. It also drew a lot if disaffected conservatives.

Again, the problem is a linear, continuum of ideology, but this isn't something new.

They are both authoritarian governments, so they don't look very different in practice, but fascists hatred communism and believed it was a failed system.

Nazi's hated communism. Even though national socialism is a form of fascism, it=/=all fascists.

I know, I know. Literally hitler, goebbles, etc.

Communism is a form of fascism. No matter how much you hate to hear it. It has also killed 4x as many people throughout history that the nazi's did. It is by far the most oppressive and destructive form of fascism. Honestly fascism is a leftist ideal. Not right. The meddling of economy and production is a leftist ideal. It is a corner stone of facism. Right entails free market which fascism doesn't actually believe in.

It wasn't just the Nazi's, it was the Italians as well.

No it's not, because one of the single most important parts of communism, no such thing as private property, is not part of fascism.

In practice, the differences mean essentially nothing, but they are not the same.

Pretty sure that has been google's definition of fascism for years. Source: I looked up the definition of fascism years ago because I wanted an actual dictionary definition and I'm pretty sure that's what it was then.

When the entire idea of the thread is that "they" have changed the definition to be described as far right wing ideology, mentioning that it has been a part of the definition for a long time is pretty relevant, don't you think?

Isn't the difference between naziism and fascism the idea of race? Naziism is fascism but with the added ideology that their race is the superior one.

According to your reinterpretation of the word fascism it becomes a hard synonym with authoritarianism and loses all meaning and just becomes a redundant term.

No, they can't.

Any alterations are a distortion by individuals attempting to apply a term they never actually comprehended in the first place.

I wonder how many times we're gonna see this paranoid goober thread. There hasn't been a time since WWI when fascism wasn't placed on the far right of the political spectrum. Jesus Christ you people are going insane.

Very similar to what the constitution is, but by vote it can change. Mostly not arbitrarily.

This is the case of them literally thinking that they need to defend an extremist ideology because they have idolized the idea of being conservative so much. You know who else are extreme conservatives? Islamic terrorists. Radicalism in any form usually isn't good.
