At some point, I keep thinking that 70%-80% of the population will finally have to wake up to the FACT that Google has an extremist Alt-Left agenda which runs counter to what is in the best interest of America. Am I wrong to think this? Am I simply engaging in pie-in-the-sky idealism instead of reality.

Edit - Credit to EagleEye99. I lifted this from a post he made in another thread.

I googled patriot. Here’s what it said:

quote:

a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.

Then it listed two synonyms. With a “more” option. Xenophobe and others only show up when you look for “more “ synonyms.

So the Fox News graphic is slightly misleading in that it puts up Merriams definition but not googles definition

The graphic above states google lists it as a synonym.

So the Feaux News graphic above isn't wrong at all.

The graphic clearly says synonyms and not definition.

Besides, it is not like this is some big shock. Proggies have been saying for nearly two years now that if you are white and love your country that you are a white nationalist, racist, and xenophobe. Of course google will list that...

Xenophobe and patriot aren’t synonyms at all.

Not to normal people.

You aren't dealing with normal people.

when I read the OP, I fully expected that it was full of shite. I was about to do exactly what you did, and I expected to find exactly what you found.

I am equally unsurprised that you were being downloaded at a rate of 2 to 1

It's almost like Fox could have chosen to compare both definitions and then both synonyms, but then that wouldn't really stir the tanks of the hyper-jingoist, would it?

Yeah - that’s also under Merriam's too. I was like huh????

I think Merriam doesn’t refer to it as a synonym, but has another whole category called “similar to” or something.

Yeah - I have to agree with you here - if we’re being objective.

Regardless of Fox comparing apples and oranges, you have to admit that Google having “Xenophobe” as a synonym for Patriot is pretty fricked up.

Perhaps you should actually look up the word “chauvinism.”

It has a much broader definition than the very narrow definition appropriated by the feminists in the 1960s.

Do schools not give vocabulary tests anymore?
