That tells me that good or bad is subjective to the whims of the almighty, thus the ideas of the two are inherently flawed.
God is unchanging, and has no whims. That's the point. As an entity that was not created, and having no changing thoughts or moving parts, he has no whims.
What is good or bad simply flows from the fact that He exists.

So what about non-Christians that just want to live with personal freedoms in a non-communist country? What are they to do?

No thinking Christian has ever said that atheists or Muslims or Buddhists cannot be moral.
They need to just take a stand and fight like we are. Jesus did NOT come to tell us how to live. He came to die for our sins. A mistake many make.
If you're atheist or Buddhist or Muslim, you can still stand up for what is right.

25 They took fortified cities and a rich land, and possessed houses full of all good things, cisterns dug out, vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate, were filled, became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness. 26 “Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against you, cast your law (Torah) behind their back, killed your prophets that testified against them to turn them again to you, and they committed awful blasphemies. 27 Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their adversaries, who distressed them.
28 But after they had rest, they did evil again before you; therefore you left them in the hands of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them; yet when they returned, and cried to you, you heard from heaven; and many times you delivered them according to your mercies, 29 and testified against them, that you might bring them again to your law (Torah). Yet they were arrogant, and didn’t listen to your commandments, but sinned against your ordinances (which if a man does, he shall live in them), turned their backs, stiffened their neck, and would not hear. 30 Yet many years you put up with them, and testified against them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not listen. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.
Yahweh is the light. When we embrace evil, as a society or civilization, he allows us to suffer the consequences of our disobedience. It is only when a nation collectively begins to be obedient to his commandments again that a nation will experience his blessings again.

And I find it interesting that the voting machines are called Dominion.

Substitute "election" with selection.
Don't know why GOD planned this, but He did. Everyone who believes in Him already believed in Him. Everyone who denied Him, still denies Him. And everyone on the fence is still either on the fence or now a denier.
Seems like a pretty crappy "plan" but it's the plan. Pretty sure this is the end times now, with persecution and utter evil and secular stupidity coming faster and harder from here on out.
There have been days I wake up hoping a massive meteor strike will just end it all quickly as opposed to the slow, painful end that is already written.

God's plan is to never give us more than we can handle when we have him leading our decisions.
This is an often misquoted scripture.
God does not promise not to give us more than we can handle. He does promise to always give us a way out when we are tempted to sin.

That’s my point (and what I thought was the point of this thread). Christians backing away from the fight and allowing everything to happen as it will according to “God’s plan”.
I think many people, non-believers and Christians alike, don’t want to see this country fall into the downward spiral into communism and are willing to fight against that idea. Whether that makes one a bad Christian or not is another question (and one I’m not particularly concerned with at the moment).

Too many Christians in the USA have gotten such a lax attitude that they really think because now they're the ones "suffering" that all they have to do is pray and God will just automatically step in and fix things while they sit back and act like it's gonna happen anytime now on the basis that they deserve it to happen.

Well, the ignorance in this comment is clear. A different party affiliation means people just lost their fricking jobs, moron. And now they're suffering. Guess you missed that.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Every single person on that project knew that the project would end sooner or later.
Everyone knew that the Keystone pipeline was a stupid idea that would be killed with any administration that gave two effs about conservation. You'd have to be a complete idiot to think that it was a good idea to pump a pipe full of benzene and toluene and then route it through an aquifer.

Bravo....
Jesus came to give suffering meaning... not to abolish it.

No, it actually wasn't. But thanks for playing.

Those are pretty arrogant and extreme assumptions of what i said.
quote:
The way I see it is you believe in God being a clock maker who presses the green GO button and sits back to watch the show, but doesn't know how it ends.
Not at all, willpower is the tool we have to change our domain. God uses people who believe in him and themselves, to help when it is absolutely needed. If not how do we ever retain anything we learn without some strife?
quote:
I was taught that God is the master of time and space, thus knows my every move before I make it.
Seems like the wrong mechanism to be taught in fearing God. Definitely worked on people before the Internet.

I am believer and a Christian. But all too often I hear people say "God has a plan" as if his plan is to save them from impending earthly suffering. I have been hearing this alot in in light of what has happened this election and going back to March. God does not save us from earthly suffering, and we may be on our way to some of that soon.
Suffering is not a new concept for most of human history, I don't understand why Americans think they are immune from it. It is our job while on earth to try and prevent it, but I don't understand sitting and waiting for God to fix it for us.
exactly my attitude ...God wills in all of this is uncertain
but he will allow nations harm themselves in free will...
