I don’t need hegemony, but there was a LONG time here where any dissent re:Trump brought down a rain of zealots and insults.

Finally seeing a substantial number of posters willing to call it out. Still plenty of due credit for DJT, but there was a time when you couldn’t even question his antics.

Now, if the rest of the GOP just developed the same backbone, both with DJT and the fanatics on the left…

Lake blew AZ by acting like Trump with a vagina.

People are sick and tired of the confrontational tactics and 24/7 drama.

Yeah look, I have plenty of criticism for trump but if everyone is happy where those opposing Trump has gotten us the last 6 years are insane.

There was a better way then fricking up our country to hold onto the way of the swamp.

Enjoy the shite show, but hey you got Trump good.

I don’t regret my vote for Trump at all in ‘16. Irony is if he had just logged off Twitter after the ‘16 election he would’ve won re-election easily in 2020 and then J6 never happens.

I miss Trump’s foreign policy and judicial appointments, but don’t miss the stupid fights he picked and he went off the reservation after losing 2020. It’s time to move on.

Enjoy your Paul Ryan Mitch McConnell backed candidate Ron DeSantis!

I guarantee he doesn’t hold up to the endless bullshlt that Trump was able to deal with.

I'm seeing the opposite. I would have thought that guys would be tired of losing with trump and clearly back Desantis after his landslide victories in traditionally very blue districts.

But I'm seeing more "frick the Gope, I'll vote for trump as an independent"

"I hope trump starts a new party, it'll be hilarious to see the dems to take power"

"It doesn't matter who runs, democrats will never lose again, might as well run trump again"

I'm also seeing Democrats pushing that Desantis is worse than trump. They want trump to be the nominee because of how far moderates swing away from him.

We all know trump is going to run regardless of whether or not he wins the primary. Once he does that and takes votes away from the GOP democrats will win again and stay in power.

I wanted him to just shut the frick up and lead for years. Still voted for him in 2020, was an easy choice obviously, but knew he simply sabotaged himself.

It’s been wild to see the upvote/downvote ratios since election night. You’re going to have a lot of the same posters defending Trump, but it’s the lurkers on the upvote/downvote that are interesting to me.

He’s dealing with it now and it doesn’t seem to bother him.

It is an interesting question.

A lot of traditional republican posters abandoned this forum during the Trump years, because his sycophants were completely unable to engage in reasoned discussion. Few people have the patience to continuously attempt to engage in reasoned discussion, to be met with only childish schoolyard invective.

It will be interesting to see whether those posters stick around and keep this place as less of an echo chamber, or whether they will disappear again.

Based on what? Literally what the frick are you talking about?

What has Ron ever done to show you he's weak?

You let trump tell to how to think but I just look at results and how Ron governs.
