Did you notice the username of the post you replied to?
Might be a little bias.

Honestly, there’s something “fishy” going on between every major defense contractor and every administration.

Boeing has a new CEO who is an engineer, not a lawyer, stock analyst, accountant or some DEI personnel resource manager. Musk highly recommends him.
They got the big 6th gen fighter contract and have a new airliner on the market both of witch have been in development for several years.

I guess you get special deals when you make weapons for a government. Kind of like Operation Paperclip.

Boeing has done nothing wrong. Airbus Industrie was behind the crashes. Just like they were behind the two crashes in the early 1990s. The 737 had been in service for 30 years and then suddenly suffers back to back crashes at United and US Air due to a faulty rudder PSU... And what a coincidence that Airbus won huge orders from both immediately afterwards. A design flaw like that would not have taken 30 years to surface. And especially not two identical crashes back to back. Airbus is a government controlled socialist company that the media has long covered for. Airbus aircraft have been involved in multiple toxic fume events that have claimed lives of flight crew. One just recently. But not a word from the media.
Trump has a good relationship with Boeing. The truth will come out.

So we the USA has 3 large, capable aerospace suppliers, a lot of domestic jobs and we get something of value for the money. It’s not like USAID or Dept. of Education, pissing away billions and not getting anything for it. At least we have something tangible in return.
…. and so do the Chinese. The aerospace community is rife with deeply embedded theft of intellectual property and proprietary defense intel. The receive all of the benefits, with little of the development costs.
Until people learn there are severe consequences for these corrupt these activities, it will continue unabated.
My suggestion, remove the counterintelligence role of the FBI ((that was added following the Patriot Act). Get the FBI back to its primary mission, Law enforcement

Most of your takes are getting dumber, you should probably stop having opinions

Sometimes, it is better to keep your thoughts in your head.

I have a friend who thinks that Trump told Boeing to get the Air Force 1 done now, and he would push the pentagon to select the Boeing demonstrator. Trump would get his AF1 and Boeing would get the fighter. 3 days later after he told me this, word came out that Boeing San Antonio was looking for 30 stress engineers. So he may be onto something if there is a push now to get it done.
I'm not sure I agree with this theory but all the contracts are big time political and if they both performed well and evenly matched, I can see the politics behind throwing Boeing a lifeline, with an agreement to do whatever it takes to get AF1 done now.
But this is bad for LM, because LM had dropped out of the navy F/A-xx competition because they didn't meet the requirements. That will likely go to NG. Sure LM has the F-35 production, but they don't have a lot else in terms of new aircraft coming. Bell beat Sirkorsky (LM owned unfortunately) for the Blackhawk replacement so they lost that as well.
Boeing on the military side is different than the commercial. Boeing has done great jobs with the F-18 Super Hornet and now the F-15EX.
