George Orwell isn't the only one to warn us.

In 1972 when A Clockwork Orange came out an English prof told me: 'Zach, in 100 years this movie will be a classic in it's prediction of our future.'
About two years later Anthony Burgess (author of the book) made this assessment:
“The results of a liberal and a fascist are the same. They differ only in their dogma. Their means and ends are hardly distinguishable. The ultimate totalitarian nightmare is liberalism going mad. And there is no cure for the madness.”
I have to admit that I took it with some skepticism. Fifty years later it's pretty clear.

Aldous Huxley, Ray Bradbury, and others I'm sure.

Even scarier is that the reprogramming takes place in mass, and they eyes don’t need to be pried open, people volunteer to watch the preprogrammed agenda on their on TVs

Mike Judge.
Idiocracy was always a little too close to home, but at this point if you can't see how America could get to that point based on current attitudes and actual public policy, we may be too far gone.
Essentially EQUITY gets us there WAY faster than the 500 years in the movie.

Don’t forget Zamyatin, who was about a decade ahead of Huxley.

The saddest part is that America is willfully committing suicide.
Shitting on our forefathers, and generations of grandfathers that died in it's wars to establish, and later maintain the Republic.
The Frankfurt School long game was well played.

Blackstone was of the following view:
[T]he law without equity, though hard and disagreeable is much more desirable for the public good than equity without the law, which would make every judge a legislator and introduce most infinite confusion as there would be almost as many different rules of action laid down in our courts as there are differences of capacity and sentiment in the human mind.[6]
We see the consistent push to equity for a reason, it leaves behind established law built on individual liberty and responsibility and puts in its place group think.

Before it's all over, "Harrison Bergeron" will be the most important literary work of all times, excluding The Bible.

Hmmm, I see a sexist trend here. We should talk about all the female authors who rightly predicted our future.
But I can't think of one.

Margaret Atwood warned us of the dangers of muslim theocracies, even tho' she claims that's not what it's about....

Was listening to Victor Davis Hanson last night bemoaning the loss of work ethic in America, and he said,” America got where we are by hard work and it wasn’t given to us. If we think we can maintain our status simply because we are owed it and we live in America, we are fooling ourselves.” ( paraphrased)
