Wow, jack, that is and eye opener. I've long lived a secure life out in the country, but the trailer parks and developments are going up fast. Along with gunshots in the night, and an occasional shooting, which was unheard of 20 years ago. The 'organized' version of predatory attacks on targeted folk is a whole nother animal.

It's a shame ya'll couldn't put in place a plan to shut down the streets for an escape, trap that bunch and have no mercy. Of course, Garland/FBI would swarm in like a plague.

I can feel it coming. Something big and painful. Glad I am a person of Faith.

Be well, and good luck.

If the bill had succeeded, it would have set up a referendum on creating a new city that could have cast a harsh spotlight on efforts by a richer, majority-white neighborhood to divorce itself from the poorer, Blacker city at the heart of the Deep South’s largest urban area.

Atlanta isn’t the South anymore, much less the Deep South.

Atlanta minorities better start injecting more into the tax pool or someone will come door to door to re appropriate their obama phone.

You realize the city of Atlanta black population is dwindling by the year? The demographics of the city have seen a massive shift the last 15 years.

The referendum wouldn't have passed most likely.

Exactly this.

Buckhead voted 90% Xiden in 2020. It is Minneapolis values in the south. Do not care about their own safety. Virtue signaling is much more valued.

This anti-buckhead secession movement is being driven by the commercial property owners south of Buckhead. Billions of dollars of property that would be in what's left in the City of Atlanta. This includes GA Tech and GA State.

The rural GA legislators are being told that their constituents will have to start paying for lack of revenue of what's left in the city of Atlanta after Buckhead leaves. Unfortunately, that is most likely a valid argument.

The rest of the state of GA in general and the US Taxpayer pays more than half of cost of public transportation (MARTA) in Fulton and Dekalb counties. Fare revenue makes up approx. 8% of the cost to operate. Taxpayers make up the remaining 92% (through sales tax, state + federal grants).

So, how is Georgia straightening out the massive cheating in their elections?

Is the legislature doing that?

I think those who wanted to leave (like me) already have for the most part.

Sure seems that way. I think they all ended up in Thomasville.
