just can't see Dems turning out for a midterm runoff.

Republicans are actually the one with the midterm turnout issue now with the increasing lower class white identification with Republicans.

I saw it reported earlier that EV was at only 74% of EV in November.

Very likely. Even with long lines, there were only a few days of early voting and given Thanksgiving and the proximity to the general election, there was a lot less time to harvest mail ins.

All good signs for Herschel if MAGAs made it to the polls today.

I am sure a whole bunch of "timely" mail-in ballots are in strategically position bins

I voted at 5:45 this evening, Stood in line about 5 minutes. Only two ballot machines in our polling station and my ballot was the 588th ran through that machine today.

First complete county, perhaps: rural Washington, one of two that Warnock (D) carried in 2021 but Walker (R) carried in November. Walker carried it by 1.4% in November, carries it by 2.1% today. #GASEN

The more people vote, the better it is for republicans. Democrats only win when there is low turnout.

Wasserman again

Deleted a previous tweet b/c misstated November's Brantley Co. margin. Walker (R) carried it by 82.1% in November, wins 83.0% today. Not a bad result for Walker, but still early and one of the reddest counties in the state. #GASEN

A couple Walker underperformances

Wasserman

A better sign for Warnock (D) in another super-red county: Pierce. Walker (R) carried it by 77.4% in November, wins it by 77.0% today. #GASEN

A good result for Warnock (D) in Ben Hill Co.: Walker (R) carried it by 28.9% in November, wins it by just 27.5% today. #GASEN

Franklin Co.: Walker +71.3 in November, Walker +73.1 tonight. A strong result for Walker (R) in the rural north. #GASEN.

So far, easy to cherrypick encouraging signs for either side in rural Georgia. On balance, it's tracking w/ November, which is decent news for Warnock (D).

Biggest remaining question is turnout in urban Georgia, and it could take a while to find out. #GASEN

Depends on how many votes Fulton needs to manufacture.

Wasserman saying Walker would need to be running a point or so better than his November numbers in the rural counties and so far he's about even to them... so... not great

Turner Co.: Walker +24.0 in November, Walker +25.0 today. Walker (R) barely hits his target there, but doing so in the slight minority of complete counties. #GASEN

Looking at some of these small counties where 100 vote differences can change a percentage is pointless. It's all going to come down to ballot harvesting and turnout in Atlanta. That's all that matters in this election.
