Their observed mortality rate is about three times what you would expect, which implies their current testing is painting a full picture of the volume of cases out there. Then when you see that they've tested less than half as many people as Louisiana has, it confirms that thought.
The other issue is that Georgia never took the Medicaid expansion so a ton of its rural hospitals went out of business. So when the mayor of ATL last week said they were about out of ICU beds and you add that to 2/3 of the counties in the state not having any ICU beds to run out of, you are in a terrible position to manage an influx of patients seeking critical care. Georgia is in trouble.
