It's very clearly not their job
Agree to disagree here.

And how would the cop know that it's not me looking through my window?
They don't know, that's why they ask. If it's not you and a possible burglar, you have no desire for an officer to stop the from breaking into your house? That seems strange.

I don't ever want to see a police officer..
I don't either, but at the same time if I'm doing something that looks suspicious, I have no problem with them asking questions and if some random person comes from behind my shop at midnight (I close at 8pm), I have no problem with an officer finding out what they are doing behind my building.

What can you really do? They get a jury of their peers just like everyone else and sometimes even citizens get the benefit of the doubt.
And most of these cases they are not getting a jury of their peers

Most places call for jury duty, from Driver's license, and voters registration I think.
Next time you decide to commit a crime, make sure your friends have driver's license and shite. Might help you in court.

If he wasn't,then he will have a bloody shoulder holster,or six gun belt, right? Otherwise, if he was open carrying he was running around with a gun in his hand.
is this illegal?

I don't know, try it at your local courthouse tomorrow, then get back to us. Are you white? If not, get a white guy to do it,then tell us about the racism.

Enjoy living in your police state

Well it's probably unlawful to carry at the courthouse even with a permit in most places.

Ok,do it across the street at a store.

Open carry without a permit is legal in the state of Alabama.

Police don’t just respond to crimes. They could have been notified to look out for a guy matching this one’s description.
Why the frick should they be on the lookout for anyone is no crime was committed?

No shite? then you need a holster or something? right? Like I asked?
Carrying around in your hand is not the same thing, that's actually brandishing.
Stuffed in your britches or covered is concealed.

The cops didn't say he was waving it around.

Also this timeline makes zero sense
They beat him for reaching for a gun that he allegedly dropped already during the chase. Okay.

The boy fled, they caught up to him and then beat him after they say he was reaching for his waistband like he was going for a gun. They say they later found the gun along the path that they chased him.

ALSO, state law in alabama prohibits individuals under the age of 18 from purchasing or possessing handguns.
I'm eagerly awaiting the kid to catch a charge for that. Wonder why he didn't initially?

If he didn't have a visible holster, then he was not carrying legally. You can't just walk around with a pistol in your hand.

He wasn't carrying legally regardless because he's 17. I want to see that charge tried in court.

It's legal if he had his parents permission and he was using it for a half dozen different purposes. Why do you want to see a kid who was just victimized by the police tried on a bullshite charge?
It's a little creepy.

Because I don't think it's his gun.

Also, ftr, none of the exceptions are plausible with him running through Troy with a pistol. Read the statute.
